Description


NED service to retrieve Positions for a named object: The NASA/IPAC Extragalactic Database (NED) provides a comprehensive fusion of multi-wavelength data for hundreds of millions of objects located beyond the Milky Way galaxy. This service retrieves positions and their uncertainties for any object recognized by the NED Name Resolver. The data are provided in the following coordinate systems: - Equatorial (B1950.0 and J2000.0) - Ecliptic (B1950.0 and J2000.0) - Galactic - SuperGalactic
