- Serendipity slew survey measurements were acquired with the ISOPHOT C200 detector installed on the ISO mission. The C200 detector is a 2x2 pixel array of stressed Ge:Ga with a pixel size of 89.4arcsec, and was used in conjunction with the C160 broad-band filter (reference wavelength 170{mu}m, width 89{mu}m). During the lifetime of the ISO mission, about 550 hours of measurements have been gathered with more than 12000 slews. From the slew data with low (100{mu}m<=15MJy/sr) cirrus background, 115 well-observed sources with a high signal to noise ratio in all detector pixels having a galaxy association were extracted. The 170{mu}m fluxes measured from the Serendipity slews have been put on an absolute flux level by using calibration sources observed additionally with the photometric mapping mode of ISOPHOT. For all but a few galaxies, the 170{mu}m fluxes are determined for the first time, which represents a significant increase in he number of galaxies with measured Far-Infrared (FIR) fluxes beyond the IRAS 100{mu}m limit.

- The ISOPHOT Serendipity Sky Survey strip-scanning measurements covering ~15% of the far-infrared (FIR) sky at 170{mu}m were searched for compact sources associated with optically identified galaxies. Compact Serendipity Survey sources with a high signal-to-noise ratio in at least two ISOPHOT C200 detector pixels were selected that have a positional association with a galaxy identification in the NED and/or Simbad databases and a galaxy counterpart visible on the Digitized Sky Survey plates. A catalog with 170{mu}m fluxes for more than 1900 galaxies has been established, 200 of which were measured several times.

- The 170 micron far-infrared slew data of the ISOPHOT Serendipity Survey (ISOSS) has been assembled to a sky atlas with ~15% sky coverage. The redundant information of the brightnesss at slew crossings has been used to globally rescale and homogenize the slew brightnesses, leading to significantly increased photometric accuracy and reproducibility as well as the homogeneity of the maps. The corrected slew data were remapped with a constant grid size of 22.4arcsec onto 124 maps in galactic coordinates.

- We present an atlas of spectra of O- and B-type stars, obtained with the Short Wavelength Spectrometer (SWS) during the Post-Helium program of the Infrared Space Observatory (ISO). This program is aimed at extending the Morgan & Keenan (1973ARA&A..11...29M) classification scheme into the near-infrared. Later type stars will be discussed in a separate publication. The observations consist of 57 SWS Post-Helium spectra from 2.4 to 4.1{mu}m, supplemented with 10 spectra acquired during the nominal mission with a similar observational setting. For B-type stars, this sample provides ample spectral coverage in terms of subtype and luminosity class. For O-type stars, the ISO sample is coarse and therefore is complemented with 8 UKIRT L'-band observations. In terms of the presence of diagnostic lines, the L'-band is likely the most promising of the near-infrared atmospheric windows for the study of the physical properties of B stars. Specifically, this wavelength interval contains the Br{alpha}, Pf{gamma}, and other Pfund lines which are probes of spectral type, luminosity class and mass loss. Here, we present simple empirical methods based on the lines present in the 2.4 to 4.1{mu}m interval that allow the determination of i) the spectral type of B dwarfs and giants to within two subtypes; ii) the luminosity class of B stars to within two classes; iii) the mass-loss rate of O stars and B supergiants to within 0.25dex.

- We have classified over 1500 infrared spectra obtained with the PHT-S spectrometer aboard the Infrared Space Observatory according to the system developed for the Short Wavelength Spectrometer (SWS) spectra by Kraemer et al. (2002ApJS..140..389K). The majority of these spectra contribute to subclasses that are either under-represented in the SWS spectral database or contain sources that are too faint, such as M dwarfs, to have been observed by either the SWS or the Infrared Astronomical Satellite Low Resolution Spectrometer. There is strong overall agreement about the chemistry of objects observed with both instruments. Discrepancies can usually be traced to the different wavelength ranges and sensitivities of the instruments. Finally, a large subset of the observations (~250 spectra) exhibit a featureless, red continuum that is consistent with emission from zodiacal dust and suggest directions for further analysis of this serendipitous measurement of the zodiacal background.

- The ISOGAL survey is one of the largest imaging programme performed by the ISO satellite. About 16deg^2^ mainly distributed in the inner Galactic disk were mapped at 7 and/or 15 micron ({mu}m). Because of highly structured background and high source density, a special point source extraction algorithm was used and resulted in a 100000 point source catalogue. The mid-infrared data have been associated with near-infrared DENIS sources, providing an up to five wavelength photometric catalogue with a typical astrometric accuracy better than 1 arcsecond. The point source catalogue contains the positional and photometric parameters of all ISOGAL sources, together with various quality flags aimed at giving an estimate of the reliability of the detections and of the associations between the different bands (see the paper for a complete description).

- We present an atlas of near-infrared spectra (2.36{mu}m-4.1{mu}m) of ~300 stars at moderate resolution ({lambda}/{delta}{lambda}~1500-2000). The spectra were recorded using the Short-Wavelength Spectrometer aboard the Infrared Space Observatory (ISO-SWS). The bulk of the observations were performed during a dedicated observation campaign after the liquid helium depletion of the ISO satellite, the so-called post-helium programme. This programme was aimed at extending the MK-classification to the near-infrared.

- The ISOPHOT experiment onboard the ISO satellite generated a complete view of the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) at 170{mu}m with 1.5arcmin resolution. The map is analysed using an automated photometry program enabling accurate photometric characterization of the far infrared (FIR) emitting regions. In this paper, the sources detected at 170{mu}m are compared with those obtainable from the IRAS satellite data. For this purpose, the 12{mu}m, 25{mu}m, 60{mu}m, and 100{mu}m IRAS high resolution (HiRes) maps of the SMC are re-examined using the same method. In contrast to former studies, this provides an all-band ISO/IRAS source catalog which is no longer based on eyeball classification, but relies on an algorithm which is capable of automated, repeatable photometry, even for irregular sources. In the mid infrared IRAS bands numerous bright FIR emitting regions in the SMC are detected and classified: 73 sources are found at 12{mu}m, 135 at 25{mu}m (most of them with F{nu}<1.0Jy). All three FIR bands at 170{mu}m, 100{mu}m, and 60{mu}m reproduce the overall morphological structure of the SMC similarly well, in contrast to the 12{mu}m and 25{mu}m maps which only contain a limited number of extended sources and do not trace the main body of the SMC. 243 sources are detected in the ISO 170{mu}m map, 155 of them with F{nu}>=2.0Jy. Comparable numbers are found for the two FIR IRAS maps at 60{mu}m (384) and 100{mu}m (338) with fluxes up to 450Jy. 70 of the 243 170{mu}m sources are assigned a general SED type (cold , warm , i.e., <30K, >30K) for the first time. A comparison with earlier IRAS results suggests that many source flux densities in those studies have been under- or overestimated because of non-standardized fitting methods. Many sources with flux densities up to 40Jy listed in former catalogs cannot be identified in our data.
