- Ionized gas kinematics provide important clues to the dynamical structure of galaxies and hold constraints to the processes driving their evolution. The motivation of this work is to provide an overall characterization of the kinematic behavior of the ionized gas of the galaxies included in the Calar Alto Legacy Integral field Area (CALIFA), offering kinematic clues to potential users of the CALIFA survey for including kinematical criteria in their selection of targets for specific studies. From the first 200 galaxies observed by CALIFA survey in its two configurations, we present the two-dimensional kinematic view of the 177 galaxies satisfaying a gas content/detection threshold. After removing the stellar contribution, we used the cross-correlation technique to obtain the radial velocity of the dominant gaseous component for each spectrum in the CALIFA data cubes for different emission lines (namely, [OII] {lambda}{lambda}3726,3729, [OIII] {lambda}{lambda}4959,5007, H{alpha}+[NII] {lambda}{lambda}6548,6584, and [SII]{lambda}{lambda}6716,6730). The main kinematic parameters measured on the plane of the sky were directly derived from the radial velocities with no assumptions on the internal prevailing motions. Evidence of the presence of several gaseous components with different kinematics were detected by using [OIII] {lambda}{lambda}4959,5007 emission line profiles.

- We trace the interaction processes of galaxies at intermediate redshift by measuring the irregularity of their ionized gas kinematics, and investigate these irregularities as a function of the environment (cluster versus field) and of morphological type (spiral versus irregular). We obtain the gas velocity fields by placing three parallel and adjacent VLT/FORS2 slits on each galaxy. To quantify irregularities in the gas kinematics, we use three indicators: the standard deviation of the kinematic position angle ({sigma}_PA_), the mean deviation of the line of sight velocity profile from the cosine form which is measured using high order Fourier terms (k_3,5_/k_1_) and the average misalignment between the kinematical and photometric major axes ({Delta}{phi}). These indicators are then examined together with some photometric and structural parameters (measured from HST and FORS2 images in the optical) such as the disk scale length, rest-frame colors, asymmetry, concentration, Gini coefficient and M20 . Our sample consists of 92 distant galaxies. 16 cluster (z~0.3 and z~0.5) and 29 field galaxies (0.10<=z<=0.91, mean z=0.44) of these have velocity fields with sufficient signal to be analyzed. To compare our sample with the local universe, we also analyze a sample from the SINGS survey.

- With the aim of distinguishing between possible physical mechanisms acting on galaxies when they fall into clusters, we study the properties of the gas and the stars in a sample of 422 emission-line galaxies from the European Southern Observatory Distant Cluster Survey in different environments up to z~1. We identify galaxies with kinematical disturbances (from emission lines in their 2D spectra) and find that they are more frequent in clusters than in the field.

- We present neutral hydrogen (HI) observations using the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope (GBT) of 70 optically detected UDG candidates in the Coma region from the Systematically Measuring Ultra-Diffuse Galaxies survey (SMUDGes). We detect HI in 18 targets, confirming nine to be gas-rich UDGs and the remainder to be foreground dwarfs. None of our HI-detected UDGs are Coma Cluster members and all but one are in low-density environments. The HI-detected UDGs are bluer and have more irregular morphologies than the redder, smoother candidates not detected in HI, with the combination of optical color and morphology being a better predictor of gas richness than either parameter alone. There is little visual difference between the gas-rich UDGs and the foreground dwarfs in the SMUDGes imaging, and distances are needed to distinguish between them. We find that the gas richnesses of our HI-confirmed UDGs and those from other samples scale with their effective radii in two stellar mass bins, possibly providing clues to their formation. We attempt to place our UDGs on the baryonic Tully-Fisher relation (BTFR) using optical ellipticities and turbulence-corrected HI line widths to estimate rotation velocities, but the potential systematics associated with fitting smooth Sersic profiles to clumpy, low-inclination disks of low surface brightness precludes a meaningful analysis of potential BTFR offsets. These observations are a pilot for a large campaign now under way at the GBT to use the HI properties of gas-rich UDGs to quantitatively constrain how these galaxies form and evolve.

- Here, we present positions and radial velocities for over 4000 globular clusters (GCs) in 27 nearby early-type galaxies from the SLUGGS survey. The SLUGGS survey is designed to be representative of elliptical and lenticular galaxies in the stellar mass range 10<logM_*_/M_{sun}_<11.7. The data have been obtained over many years, mostly using the very stable multi-object spectrograph DEIMOS on the Keck II 10 m telescope. Radial velocities are measured using the calcium triplet lines, with a velocity accuracy of +/-10-15 km/s. We use phase space diagrams (i.e., velocity-position diagrams) to identify contaminants such as foreground stars and background galaxies, and to show that the contribution of GCs from neighboring galaxies is generally insignificant. Likely ultra-compact dwarfs are tabulated separately. We find that the mean velocity of the GC system is close to that of the host galaxy systemic velocity, indicating that the GC system is in overall dynamical equilibrium within the galaxy potential. We also find that the GC system velocity dispersion scales with host galaxy stellar mass, in a similar manner to the Faber-Jackson relation for the stellar velocity dispersion. Publication of these GC radial velocity catalogs should enable further studies in many areas, such as GC system substructure, kinematics, and host galaxy mass measurements.

- Data on the profiles and polarization of the 10- and 20-cm emission of radio pulsars are used to calculate the angle {beta} between the rotational axis of the neutron star and its magnetic moment. It is shown that, for these calculations, it is sufficient to use catalog values of the pulse width at the 10% level W10, since the broadening of the observed pulses due to the transition to the full width W0 and narrowing of the pulses associated with the emission of radiation along tangents to the field lines approximately cancel each other out. The angles {beta}1 are calculated for 283 pulsars at 20cm and 132 pulsars at 10cm, assuming that the line of sight passes through the center of the emission cone.

- We present the Fabry-Perot observations obtained for a new set of 108 galaxies in the frame of the Gassendi H{alpha} survey of SPirals (GHASP). The GHASP survey consists of 3D H{alpha} data cubes for 203 spiral and irregular galaxies, covering a large range in morphological types and absolute magnitudes, for kinematics analysis. The new set of data presented here completes the survey. The GHASP sample is by now the largest sample of Fabry-Perot data ever published. The analysis of the whole GHASP sample will be done in forthcoming papers. Using adaptive binning techniques based on Voronoi tessellations, we have derived H{alpha} data cubes from which are computed H{alpha} maps, radial velocity fields as well as residual velocity fields, position-velocity diagrams, rotation curves and the kinematical parameters for almost all galaxies.

- The Gassendi HAlpha survey of SPirals survey (GHASP) consists of 3D H{alpha} data cubes for 203 spiral and irregular galaxies, covering a large range in morphological types and absolute magnitudes, for kinematics analysis. It is the largest sample of Fabry-Perot data published up to now. In order to provide an homogenous sample, reduced and analysed using the same procedure, we present in this paper the new reduction and analysis for a set of 97 galaxies already published in previous papers but now using the new data reduction procedure adopted for the whole sample. The GHASP survey is now achieved and the whole sample is reduced using the adaptive binning techniques based on Voronoi tessellations. We have derived H{alpha} data cubes from which are computed H{alpha} maps, radial velocity fields as well as residual velocity fields, position-velocity diagrams, rotation curves and kinematical parameters for almost all galaxies. The rotation curves, the kinematical parameters and their uncertainties are computed homogeneously using the new method based on the power spectrum of the residual velocity field. This paper provides the kinematical parameters for the whole sample. For the first time, the integrated H{alpha} profiles have been computed and are presented for the whole sample. The total H{alpha} fluxes deduced from these profiles have been used in order to provide a flux calibration for the 203 GHASP galaxies. This paper confirms the conclusions already drawn from half the sample concerning (i) the increased accuracy of position angles measurements using kinematical data, (ii) the difficulty to have robust determinations of both morphological and kinematical inclinations in particular for low-inclination galaxies and (iii) the very good agreement between the Tully-Fisher relationship derived from our data and previous determinations found in the literature.

- Due to their large distances, high-redshift galaxies are observed at a very low spatial resolution. In order to disentangle the evolution of galaxy kinematics from low-resolution effects, we have used Fabry-Perot 3D H{alpha} data cubes of 153 nearby isolated galaxies selected from the Gassendi H{alpha} survey of SPirals (GHASP) to simulate data cubes of galaxies at redshift z=1.7 using a pixel size of 0.125" and a 0.5" seeing. We have derived H{alpha} flux, velocity and velocity dispersion maps.
