- The Calan-ESO Proper-Motion Catalog (CE Catalog) contains 542 stars with proper motions >=0.2"/yr, identified in 14 ESO areas in the southern hemisphere. Proper motions were measured from red IIIa-F plates taken 6-16yr apart. Comparing the CE catalog with the Luyten and the Luyten half-second catalogs, we find that both suffer from incompleteness, which is particularly serious (<~40% complete) for m_R_>~13, where many of the astrophysically interesting object can be found. Proper motions, coordinates, estimated magnitudes, and finding charts for all objects in the catalog are provided

- A regular observational programme with a photoelectric astrolabe have been performed at ``Observatoire du Calern" (Observatoire de la Cote d'Azur, OCA, {phi}=+43{deg}44'55.011"; {lambda}=-0^h^27^m^42.44^s^, Calern, Caussols, France) for the last twenty years. It has been almost fully automatized between 1984 and 1987. Since 1988 the photoelectric astrolabe was used without any modification. In addition to determining the daily orientation of the local vertical, the yearly analysis of the residuals permits to derive corrections to the used star catalogue Vigouroux et al. (1992A&AS...96..477V). A global reduction method was applied for the ASPHO observations. The new form of the equations Martin & Leister (1997A&AS..126..169M) give us the possibility of using the entire set of the observing program using data taken at two zenith distances (30{deg} and 45{deg}). The program contains about 41648 stars' transits of 269 different stars taken at ``Observatoire du Calern" (OCA). The reduction was based on the HIPPARCOS system. We discuss the possibility of computing absolute declinations through stars belonging simultaneously to the 30{deg} and 45{deg} zenith distances programmes. The absolute declination corrections were determined for 185 stars with precision of 0.027" and the value of the determined equator correction is -0.018"+/-0.005". The instrumental effects were also determined. The mean epoch is 1995.29.

- We present a catalog of reference stars suitable for calibrating infrared interferometric observations. In the K band, visibilities can be calibrated with a precision of 1% on baselines up to 200 meters for the whole sky, and up to 300 meters for some part of the sky. This work, extending to longer baselines a previous catalog compiled by Borde et al. (2002, Cat. <J/A+A/393/183>), is particularly well adapted to hectometric-class interferometers. We use the absolute spectro-photometric calibration method introduced by Cohen et al. (1999AJ....117.1864C) to derive the angular diameters of our new set of stars.

- The U.S. Naval Observatory is in the process of making new reductions of the Astrographic Catalogue (AC) using a modern reference system, the ACRS, which represents the system of the FK5. The data from the Cape Zone, whose plates are centered between declinations -41 and -51 degrees (eq. 1900), have been analyzed for scale, rotation, tilt, coma, magnitude equation, radial distortion and distortions introduced by the use of reseaux in the Carte du Ciel program. The result is a positional catalog of over 544,000 stars on eq. J2000.0, epoch of observation. Additionally, all stars have been matched with the Tycho Input Catalog (revised); those numbers have been added for additional identification purposes.

- The "Cape Photographic Durchmusterung" (CPD, Gill and Kapteyn 1895-1900) is a photographic survey of southern stars in the declination range -18 deg to -90 degrees. The original goal of the work was to carry out a southern survey similar to those of the "Bonner Durchmusterung" (BD, Argelander 1859-1862, see also Kuestner 1903) and Schoenfeld (1886) and the "Cordoba Durchmusterung" (CD, Thome 1892-1932) but using photographic plates which would provide a permanent record of the sky at the epoch of observation. The summary of the positional uncertainties quoted in the third volume of the published catalog gives +/- 0.28 sec (R.A.), +/- 0.044 arcmin (Dec.) for zones -18 to -57 degrees, +/- 0.157 sec + 0.0764/cos(delta) sec (R.A.), +/- 0.056 arcmin (Dec.) for zones -58 to -85 degrees, and +/- 0.157 sec + 0.0353/cos(delta) sec (R.A.), +/- 0.0127 arcmin (Dec.) for the polar plate where, as explained in the intro- duction to the third volume, many positions were derived from rectangular coordinates (these are positions reported to 0.1 sec (R.A.) and 0.001 arcmin (Dec.) in the -86 to -89 degree zones in the catalog). The probable error of a photographic magnitude, as determined by combining results for different magnitudes and weighting proportionately according to the numbers of stars in each class of magnitude, is given as +/- 0.055 mag. From an analysis of the faint magnitude limits on the plates discussed in the third volume introduction, the catalog as a whole can be considered complete to photographic magnitude 9.2, but it is stated that it will be found practically complete, in or near the Milky Way, to magnitude 9.5.

It underwent a major upgrade in March 1999, with the installation of a 2kx2k CCD camera was installed with a Sloan r' filter operating in a drift scan mode. With the new system, the magnitude limit is 17 (r'mag) and the positional accuracy is in the range 35 to 100 mas. The resulting survey is aimed to provide an astrometric and photometric catalogue in the declination range -30 to +50 degrees. This catalogue is the result of all the observations made between March 1999 and October 2005 in the declination band -30 to +50 -- minus a gap between 5h30m and 10h30m for declinations south of -15. It contains 95,858,475 stars, plus 8,046,291 in the rejected files. - This composite catalogue contains 180812 positions and magnitudes of 176591 stars north of declination -40deg, 155005 proper motions, and 25848 positions and magnitudes of 184 Solar System objects obtained with the Carlsberg Automatic Meridian Circle on La Palma during the period May 1984 to May 1998. It includes Carlsberg Meridian Catalogues Numbers 1 to 11 (CMC1-11); i.e. it comprises all the observations made since the instrument began operation on La Palma. The positions of the stars are for the epoch of observation and the equinox J2000.0, and are referred to the new International Celestial Reference Frame. The limiting magnitude is V=15.4. The catalogue mainly comprises positions and proper motions for the following programmes: 36000 International Reference Stars 30000 faint reference stars in a global net 18000 reference stars in the fields of radio sources 17000 stars in the Lick Northern Proper Motion catalogue 5000 reference stars for calibration of Schmidt plates 2600 stars in the Gliese catalogue of nearby stars 5000 stars in nearby OB associations 10500 F-type stars within 100 pc 9000 G-type dwarfs and giants, K-type giants stars within 300 pc 2200 unbiassed sample of K/M-type dwarf stars 19400 reference stars near Veron-Cetty galaxies 4700 variable stars (12-14 mag) in GCVS 12400 stars (11-14 mag) with pm>0".18/yr in NLTT and several smaller programmes mainly aimed at galactic kinematics. Positions and magnitudes of 12 novae and 8 supernovae which occurred in the years 1991 to 1998 are included. The catalogue also contains observations of the following Solar System objects: Callisto, Ganymede, Rhea, Titan, Iapetus, Hyperion, Uranus, Oberon, Neptune, Pluto and 173 minor planets and Comet P/Wild2. The mean error of a catalogue position in the zenith is 0".09 in right ascension and declination in CMC1-6, improving to 0".06 in CMC7-11. The accuracy in magnitude is 0.05 mag in CMC1-10, improving to 0.03 mag in CMC11. The mean error of the proper motions, derived by combining the position in this catalogue with those at earlier epochs, is typically in the range 0".003 to 0".004 per year. Cross-references are given to DM, AGK, SAO, HD and the double star catalogues ADS and WDS. The catalogue also contains 12216 mean annual observed positions of the FK5 stars used to transfer the instrumental system to the FK5 frame in the years 1984 to 1995. A compilation of all the meteorological data collected in the years 1984-1998, including the atmospheric extinction, is appended. This catalogue supersedes the previous versions which were numbered <I/126> (CMC1 and 2), <I/133> (CMC3), <I/147> (CMC4), <I/170> (CMC5), <I/189> (CMC6), <I/205> (CMC7) and <I/213> (CMC8).
