- Proper motions with an 80 year baseline have been determined relative to reference stars with B=13.9mag. determined for 3086 stars brighter than B=15.5mag. within an area of 50' radius, centered at RA=2h16.9m, Dec=+57{deg}01' (1950.0). Two pairs of Tashkent normal astrograph plates with a mean epoch difference of 80 years was used. Proper motions were also measured for 1055 stars with 15.5 <= B <= 17.1 mag. in two areas 14' in radius, centered on the h and {chi} Persei clusters. Proper motions are also given for 1386 stars in an adjacent area (RA=2h06.7m, Dec=+56{deg}57') for 1386 stars with a 38 year baseline. The mean errors of the proper motions are equal in right ascension and declination. For the h and {chi} Perseus region, they are 0.0021"/yr and for the adjacent region, they are 0.0031"/yr. The proper motions in the adjacent area have been reduced to the system of those in the cluster region using 214 stars in common. UBV magnitudes of the stars were determined using plates taken with the 80/120/240 Schmidt telescope of the Radioastrophysical Observatory of the Academy of Sciences of the Latvian SSR and photoelectric standards published by Johnson and Morgan (1955ApJ...122..429J) and Widley (1964ApJS....8..439W). - The results of astrometric and photometric investigations of the open cluster NGC 7243 are presented. Proper motions of 2165 stars with root-mean-square error of 1.1mas/yr were obtained by means of PDS scanning of astrometric plates covering the time interval of 97 years. A total of 211 cluster members down to V=15.5mag have been identified. V and B magnitudes have been determined for 2118 and 2110 stars respectively. Estimations of mass 348M_{sun}_<M<522M_{sun}_, age t=2.510^8^yr, distance r=698pc and reddening E(B-V)=0.24 of the cluster NGC 7243 have been made.

- We analyze data from the Hubble Space Telescope's (HST) Advanced Camera for Surveys of the globular cluster (GC) Omega Cen. We construct a photometric catalog of 1.2x10^6^ stars over a 10'x10' central field down to below B_F435W_=25 (M~0.35M_{sun}_). The 2.5 to 4 year baseline between observations yields a catalog of some 10^5^ proper motions over a smaller area, with 53382 "high-quality" measurements in a central R<~2' field. Artificial-star tests characterize the photometric incompleteness. We determine the cluster center to ~1" accuracy from star counts using two different methods, one based on isodensity contours and the other on "pie slices." We independently confirm the result by determining also the kinematical center of the HST proper motions, as well as the center of unresolved light seen in Two Micron All Sky Survey data. All results agree to within their 1"-2" levels of uncertainty. The proper-motion dispersion of the cluster increases gradually inward, but there is no variation in kinematics with position within the central ~15": there is no dispersion cusp and no stars with unusually high velocities. We measure for the first time in any GC the variation in internal kinematics along the main sequence.

- We report new photometry and radial velocities for almost 500 stars from the Lowell Proper Motion Catalog. We combine these results with our prior sample and rederive stellar temperatures based on the photometry, reddening, metallicities (using Chi^2 matching of our 22,500 low S/N high resolution echelle spectra with a grid of synthetic spectra), distances, space motions, and Galactic orbital parameters for 1269 (kinematics) and 1261 (metallicity) of the 1464 stars in the complete survey. The frequency of spectroscopic binaries for the metal-poor ([m/H]<=-1.2) stars with periods shorter than 3000 days is at least 15%. The spectroscopic binary frequency for metal-rich stars ([m/H]>-0.5) appears to be lower, about 9%, but this may be a selection effect. We also discuss special classes of stars, including treatment of the double-lined spectroscopic binaries, and identification of subgiants. Four possible new members of the class of field blue stragglers are noted. We point out the detection of three possible new white dwarfs, six broad-lined (binary) systems, and discuss briefly the three already known nitrogen-rich halo dwarfs.

- Positional, structural, and dynamical parameters for all dwarf galaxies in and around the Local Group are presented, and various aspects of our observational understanding of this volume-limited sample are discussed. Over 100 nearby galaxies that have distance estimates reliably placing them within 3Mpc of the Sun are identified. This distance threshold samples dwarfs in a large range of environments, from the satellite systems of the MW and M31, to the quasi-isolated dwarfs in the outer regions of the Local Group, to the numerous isolated galaxies that are found in its surroundings. It extends to, but does not include, the galaxies associated with the next nearest groups, such as Maffei, Sculptor, and IC 342. Our basic knowledge of this important galactic subset and their resolved stellar populations will continue to improve dramatically over the coming years with existing and future observational capabilities, and they will continue to provide the most detailed information available on numerous aspects of dwarf galaxy formation and evolution. Basic observational parameters, such as distances, velocities, magnitudes, mean metallicities, as well as structural and dynamical characteristics, are collated, homogenized (as far as possible), and presented in tables that will be continually updated to provide a convenient and current online resource. As well as discussing the provenance of the tabulated values and possible uncertainties affecting their usage, the membership and spatial extent of the MW sub-group, M31 sub-group, and the Local Group are explored. The morphological diversity of the entire sample and notable sub-groups is discussed, and timescales are derived for the Local Group members in the context of their orbital/interaction histories. The scaling relations and mean stellar metallicity trends defined by the dwarfs are presented, and the origin of a possible "floor" in central surface brightness (and, more speculatively, stellar mean metallicity) at faint magnitudes is considered.

- The N2K planet search program was designed to exploit the planet-metallicity correlation by searching for gas giant planets orbiting metal-rich stars. Here, we present the radial velocity measurements for 378 N2K target stars that were observed with the HIRES spectrograph at Keck Observatory between 2004 and 2017. With this data set, we announce the discovery of six new gas giant exoplanets: a double-planet system orbiting HD 148164 (Msini of 1.23 and 5.16 M_JUP_) and single planet detections around HD 55696 (Msini=3.87 M_JUP_), HD 98736 (Msini=2.33 M_JUP_), HD 203473 (Msini=7.8 M_JUP_), and HD 211810 (Msini=0.67 M_JUP_). These gas giant companions have orbital semimajor axes between 1.0 and 6.2 au and eccentricities ranging from 0.13 to 0.71. We also report evidence for three gravitationally bound companions with Msini between 20 and 30 M_JUP_, placing them in the mass range of brown dwarfs, around HD 148284, HD 214823, and HD 217850, and four low-mass stellar companions orbiting HD 3404, HD 24505, HD 98630, and HD 103459. In addition, we present updated orbital parameters for 42 previously announced planets. We also report a nondetection of the putative companion HD 73256 b. Finally, we highlight the most promising candidates for direct imaging and astrometric detection, and we find that many hot Jupiters from our sample could be detectable by state-of-the-art telescopes such as Gaia.

- We use imaging from the Next Generation Virgo cluster Survey (NGVS) to present a comparative study of ultra-compact dwarf (UCD) galaxies associated with three prominent Virgo sub-clusters: those centered on the massive red-sequence galaxies M87, M49, and M60. We show how UCDs can be selected with high completeness using a combination of half-light radius and location in color-color diagrams (u*iK_s_ or u*gz). Although the central galaxies in each of these sub-clusters have nearly identical luminosities and stellar masses, we find large differences in the sizes of their UCD populations, with M87 containing ~3.5 and 7.8 times more UCDs than M49 and M60, respectively. The relative abundance of UCDs in the three regions scales in proportion to sub-cluster mass, as traced by X-ray gas mass, total gravitating mass, number of globular clusters (GCs), and number of nearby galaxies. We find that the UCDs are predominantly blue in color, with ~85% of the UCDs having colors similar to blue GCs and stellar nuclei of dwarf galaxies. We present evidence that UCDs surrounding M87 and M49 may follow a morphological sequence ordered by the prominence of their outer, low surface brightness envelope, ultimately merging with the sequence of nucleated low-mass galaxies, and that envelope prominence correlates with distance from either galaxy. Our analysis provides evidence that tidal stripping of nucleated galaxies is an important process in the formation of UCDs.
