- Title:
- Catalog of short gamma-ray transients
- Short Name:
- J/PAZh/40/271
- Date:
- 21 Oct 2021
- Publisher:

- Description:
- We analyzed the data obtained by the SPI telescope onboard the INTEGRAL observatory to search for short transient events with a duration from 1 ms to a few tens of seconds. An algorithm for identifying gamma-ray events against the background of a large number of charged particle interactions with the detector has been developed. The classification of events was made. Apart from the events associated with cosmic gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) confirmed by other space experiments and the activity of known soft gamma repeaters (for example, SGR 1806-20), previously unreported GRBs have been found. GRB candidates and short gamma-ray events probably associated with the activity of known SGRs and AXPs have been selected. The spectral evolution of 28 bright GRBs from the catalog has been studied extensively. A new method for investigating the spectral evolution is proposed. The energy dependence of the spectral lag for bursts with a simple structure of their light curves and for individual pulses of multipulse events is shown to be described by a logarithmic function, lag~Alog(E). It has been established that the parameter A depends on the pulse duration, with the dependence being universal for all of the investigated GRBs. No negative spectral lags have been detected for bursts with a simple structure of their light curves.

- Catalog of source parameters in NICMOS UDF
- Short Name:
- J/AJ/130/1
- Date:
- 21 Oct 2021
- Publisher:
- CDS
- Description:
- This paper describes the observations and data reduction techniques for the version 2.0 images and catalog of the Near-Infrared Camera and Multi-Object Spectrometer Ultra Deep Field (NICMOS UDF) Treasury program. All sources discussed in this paper are based on detections in the combined NICMOS F110W and F160W bands only. The NICMOS images are drizzled to 0.09"/pixel and aligned to the Advanced Camera for Surveys UDF F850LP image, which was rebinned to the same pixel scale. These form the NICMOS version 2.0 UDF images. The catalog sources are chosen with a conservative detection limit to avoid the inclusion of numerous spurious sources. The catalog contains 1293 objects in the 144"x144" NICMOS subfield of the UDF. The 5{sigma} signal-to-noise ratio level is an average 0.6" diameter aperture AB magnitude of 27.7 at 1.1 and 1.6{mu}m. The catalog sources, listed in order of right ascension, satisfy a minimum signal-to-noise ratio criterion of 1.4{sigma} in at least seven contiguous pixels of the combined F110W and F160W image. Ten of the sources detected by the source extraction program SExtractor (SE) are not included in the catalog, leaving 1283 of the 1293 detected sources.

- Catalog of sources in the Kepler field of view
- Short Name:
- J/AJ/147/119
- Date:

- Publisher:
- CDS
- Description:
- The Kepler mission has to date found almost 6000 planetary transit-like signals, utilizing three years of data for over 170000 stars at extremely high photometric precision. Due to its design, contamination from eclipsing binaries, variable stars, and other transiting planets results in a significant number of these signals being false positives (FPs). This directly affects the determination of the occurrence rate of Earth-like planets in our Galaxy, as well as other planet population statistics. In order to detect as many of these FPs as possible, we perform ephemeris matching among all transiting planet, eclipsing binary, and variable star sources. We find that 685 Kepler Objects of Interest (KOIs)--12% of all those analyzed--are FPs as a result of contamination, due to 409 unique parent sources. Of these, 118 have not previously been identified by other methods. We estimate that ~35% of KOIs are FPs due to contamination, when performing a first-order correction for observational bias. Comparing single-planet candidate KOIs to multi-planet candidate KOIs, we find an observed FP fraction due to contamination of 16% and 2.4% respectively, bolstering the existing evidence that multi-planet KOIs are significantly less likely to be FPs. We also analyze the parameter distributions of the ephemeris matches and derive a simple model for the most common type of contamination in the Kepler field. We find that the ephemeris matching technique is able to identify low signal-to-noise FPs that are difficult to identify with other vetting techniques. We expect FP KOIs to become more frequent when analyzing more quarters of Kepler data, and note that many of them will not be able to be identified based on Kepler data alone.

- Catalog of Southern Ringed Galaxies
- Short Name:
- J/ApJS/96/39
- Date:
- 21 Oct 2021
- Publisher:
- CDS
- Description:
- The Catalog of Southern Ringed Galaxies (CSRG) is a comprehensive compilation of diameters, axis ratios, relative bar position angles, and morphologies of inner and outer rings, pseudorings, and lenses in 3692 galaxies south of declination -17{deg}. The purpose of the catalog is to evaluate the idea that these ring phenomena are related to orbital resonances with a bar or oval in galaxy potentials. The catalog is based on visual inspection of most of the 606 fields of the Science Research Council (SRC) IIIa-J southern sky survey, with the ESO-B, ESO-R, and Palomar Sky surveys used as auxiliaries when needed for overexposed core regions. The catalog is most complete for SRC fields 1-303 (mostly south of declination -42{deg}). In addition to ringed galaxies, a list of 859 mostly nonringed galaxies intended for comparison with other catalogs is provided.

- Catalog of spheroids in UGC 10214 field
- Short Name:
- J/ApJ/612/202
- Date:
- 21 Oct 2021
- Publisher:
- CDS
- Description:
- We study the internal color properties of a morphologically selected sample of spheroidal galaxies taken from the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) Early Release Observation program of UGC 10214 ("the Tadpole"). By taking advantage of the unprecedented high resolution of the ACS in this very deep data set, we are able to characterize spheroids at subarcsecond scales. Using the V606 and I814 bands, we construct V-I color maps and extract color gradients for a sample of spheroids at I814<24mag.

- Catalog of 5268 Standard Stars, Normal System N30
- Short Name:
- I/80
- Date:
- 21 Oct 2021
- Publisher:
- CDS
- Description:
- The catalog was constructed primarily to assist in the reduction and interpretation of planetary observations, particularly those made in the nineteenth century. The new catalog was considered necessary because the only fundamental catalogs available at the time (FK3, GC) have mean epochs around 1900, and over the period of approximately fifty years, positional accuracies had deteriorated from cumulative effects of proper motion inaccuracies. The ADC version of the data file was prepared from the original file by reformatting and incorporating changes to effect uniformity in the data fields. The notes file was created at the ADC by keying the information directly to disk storage. Cross checks were performed to assure that all stars flagged as having notes have entries in the notes file and that all notes are flagged in the data file.

- Catalog of star cluster candidates in M 33
- Short Name:
- J/AJ/134/447
- Date:
- 21 Oct 2021
- Publisher:
- CDS
- Description:
- We present a new catalog of star cluster candidates in the nearby spiral galaxy M33. It is based on eight existing catalogs wherein we have cross-referenced identifications and endeavored to resolve inconsistencies between them. Our catalog contains 451 candidates, of which 255 are confirmed clusters based on Hubble Space Telescope and high-resolution ground-based imaging. The catalog contains precise cluster positions (right ascension and declination), magnitudes and colors in the UBVRIJHKS filters, metallicities, radial velocities, masses and ages, where available, and galactocentric distances for each cluster.

- Catalog of Star-Forming Regions in the Galaxy
- Short Name:
- V/112A
- Date:
- 21 Oct 2021
- Publisher:
- CDS
- Description:
- This Catalog of Star-Forming Regions in the Galaxy contains coordinates and fluxes of young objects in the radio and infrared, as well as data on the radial velocities of recombination and molecular lines, for more than three thousand star-forming regions. In addition to photometric and kinematic data, we present information on diffuse and reflecting nebulae, dark and molecular clouds, and other objects related to young stars. The catalog consists of two parts. The main catalog lists star-forming regions in order of Galactic longitude and is supplemented by analogous information for star-forming regions in complexes of dark clouds with large angular sizes that are closest to the Sun. In our preliminary study of the catalog data using a formal classification of the star-forming regions, we subdivided these objects into several classes and characterized them as being populated primarily by massive or low-mass stars at early or late stages of the star-formation process. We also distinguish between relatively nearby and distant complexes.
