- We present a second update of the Arcetri Catalog of water masers (Comoretto et al., 1990A&AS...84..179C; Brand et al., 1994, Cat. <J/A+AS/103/541>). The present study reports the results of the observations carried out with the Medicina 32-m radiotelescope from January 1993 to April 2000 on a sample of 300 sources. This compilation consists of newly discovered maser sources that did not appear in the previous Arcetri Catalogs and is made of: a) detections from the literature, and b) unpublished detections obtained with the Medicina antenna. Overall, 83 out of 300 sources were detected. The detection rate is low (28%) and we attribute this result to the inclusion in our survey of a rather large number of spurious maser detections that have appeared in one particular paper. The observational parameters are reported in tabular form for all the 300 sources and the spectra of the detected masers are presented. We discuss the global properties of the complete Arcetri Catalog based on Comoretto et al. (1990A&AS...84..179C), Brand et al. (1994, Cat. <J/A+AS/103/541>) and the present observations, which now contains 1013 galactic water maser sources. Of these, 937 have an IRAS counterpart within 1 arcmin from the nominal position of the maser. We establish a classification scheme based on the IRAS flux densities which allows to distinguish between water masers associated with star forming regions and late-type stars. The Arcetri Catalog represents a useful data base for systematic studies of galactic water maser sources.

- A catalog of more than 300 late type stars which display maser line radio emission in OH, H2O or SiO molecules has been compiled. About two thirds of the objects have been identified with optical or infrared optics, mostly M-supergiants, Mira, or semiregular variables. The catalog contains optical data such as spectral type, period and magnitude, radio flux densities and velocities and infrared flux densities in the region between 0.7 and 20 micrometers.

- We present a new database of circumstellar OH masers at 1612, 1665, and 1667MHz in the Milky Way galaxy. The database (version 2.4) contains 13655 observations and 2341 different stars detected in at least one transition. Detections at 1612MHz are considered to be complete until the end of 2014 as long as they were published in refereed papers. Detections of the main lines (1665 and 1667MHz) and non-detections in all transitions are included only if published after 1983. The database contains flux densities and velocities of the two strongest maser peaks, the expansion velocity of the shell, and the radial velocity of the star. Links are provided for about 100 stars (<5% of all stars with OH masers) to interferometric observations and monitoring programs of the maser emission published since their beginnings in the 1970s. Access to the database is possible over the Web (www.hs.uni-hamburg.de/maserdb), allowing cone searches for individual sources and lists of sources. A general search is possible in selected regions of the sky and by defining ranges of flux densities and/or velocities. Alternative ways to access the data are via the German Virtual Observatory and the CDS.

- We report results of an extensive observational campaign of the 6cm formaldehyde maser in the young massive stellar object IRAS 18566+0408 (G37.55+0.20) conducted from 2002 to 2009. Using the Arecibo Telescope, the Very Large Array, and the Green Bank Telescope, we discovered quasi-periodic formaldehyde flares (P~237 days). Based on Arecibo observations, we also discovered correlated variability between formaldehyde (H_2_CO) and methanol (CH_3_OH) masers. The H_2_CO and CH_3_OH masers are not spatially coincident, as demonstrated by different line velocities and high angular resolution MERLIN observations. The flares could be caused by variations in the infrared radiation field, possibly modulated by periodic accretion onto a young binary system.

- We report the results of a systematic survey for 95GHz class I methanol masers toward a new sample of 192 massive young stellar object candidates associated with ongoing outflows (known as extended green objects or EGOs) identified from the Spitzer Galactic Legacy Infrared Mid-Plane Survey Extraordinaire (GLIMPSE) survey. The observations were made with the Australia Telescope National Facility (ATNF) Mopra 22m radio telescope and resulted in the detection of 105 new 95GHz class I methanol masers. For 92 of the sources our observations provide the first identification of a class I maser transition associated with these objects (i.e., they are new class I methanol maser sources). Our survey proves that there is indeed a high detection rate (55%) of class I methanol masers toward EGOs. Comparison of the GLIMPSE point sources associated with EGOs with and without class I methanol maser detections shows that they have similar mid-IR colors, with the majority meeting the color selection criteria -0.6<[5.8]-[8.0]<1.4 and 0.5<[3.6]-[4.5]<4.0. Investigations of the Infrared Array Camera and Multiband Imaging Photometer for Spitzer 24um colors and the associated millimeter dust clump properties (mass and density) of the EGOs for the sub-samples based on the class of methanol masers they are associated with suggest that the stellar mass range associated with class I methanol masers extends to lower masses than for class II methanol masers, or alternatively class I methanol masers may be associated with more than one evolutionary phase during the formation of a high-mass star.

- We have performed targeted surveys for 22GHz H_2_O and 43GHz SiO maser emission in Galactic center OH/IR stars using the Very Large Array. Some of the detections have been used in a previous paper to investigate the possibility of measuring milli-arcsecond accurate positions (to obtain stellar proper motions) in the Galactic center. Here we report on the detection of at least 25 H_2_O masers and 18 SiO masers associated with stars within 2{deg} and 15' of Sgr A*, respectively. This survey has more than doubled the total number of proper motion candidates to at least about 50 stellar objects.

- 2703 sources have been observed at the 1612MHz transition of OH, and 783 OH/IR stars were detected; 597 of these detections are new discoveries. The IRAS sources were detected on the basis of their IRAS fluxes at 12, 25 and 60um. The survey is 70% complete for IRAS sources in the Southern hemisphere (Dec<-10{deg}) with F(12um)>3Jy, with IR colors log(F25/F12)>-0.2 and log(F60/F12)<0.6 Note that the file catalog.dat contains all observed sources, with a flag indicating the detection or non-detection; the detected sources only are listed in the printed version of Table2, while sources without detectable 1612MHz emission are listed in Table3 (on microfiche)

- This paper presents JHKL'M photometry of a new sample of OH/IR stars. These data are merged with similar observations collected in the literature in order to constitute a data base of near-infrared photometry for 400 OH/IR stars. After removing from this sample the objects that are unlikely to be AGB stars, we obtain a sequence of average OH/IR stars with increasing values of the colour index K-L'. A simple model of a star surrounded by a circumstellar shell is constructed in order to derive basic parameters such as luminosity, radius, stellar temperature, optical depth of the dust shell and mass loss rate. These parameters are found to vary smoothly along the sequence of OH/IR stars, and the K-L' colour is shown to describe almost completely the basic physical parameters of an OH/IR star. The metallicity affects the OH-peak separation, but does not play an important role in the definition of the other properties.

- We present the results of simultaneous observations of SiO v=1,2, ^29^SiO v=0, J=1-0, and H_2_O 6_16_-5_23_ maser lines toward 152 known stellar H_2_O maser sources using the Yonsei 21m radio telescope of the Korean VLBI Network from 2009 June to 2011 January. Both SiO and H_2_O masers were detected from 62 sources with a detection rate of 40.8%. The SiO-only maser emission without H_2_O maser detection was detected from 27 sources, while the H_2_O-only maser without SiO maser detection was detected from 22 sources. Therefore, the overall SiO maser emission was detected from 89 sources, resulting in a detection rate of 58.6%. We have identified 70 new detections of the SiO maser emission. For both H_2_O and SiO maser detected sources, the peak and integrated antenna temperatures of SiO masers are stronger than those of H_2_O masers in both Mira variables and OH/IR stars and the relative intensity ratios of H_2_O to SiO masers in OH/IR stars are larger than those in Mira variables. In addition, distributions of 152 observed sources were investigated in the IRAS two-color diagram.
