- We report the discovery of a second planet orbiting the K giant star 7 CMa based on 166 high-precision radial velocities obtained with Lick, HARPS, UCLES and SONG. The periodogram analysis reveals two periodic signals of approximately 745 and 980d, associated to planetary companions. A double-Keplerian orbital fit of the data reveals two Jupiter-like planets with minimum masses M_b_sini~1.9Mj and M_c_sini~0.9Mj, orbiting at semi-major axes of a_b_~1.75au and a_c_~2.15au, respectively. Given the small orbital separation and the large minimum masses of the planets close encounters may occur within the time baseline of the observations, thus, a more accurate N-body dynamical modeling of the available data is performed. The dynamical best-fit solution leads to collision of the planets and we explore the long-term stable configuration of the system in a Bayesian framework, confirming that 13% of the posterior samples are stable for at least 10Myr. The result from the stability analysis indicates that the two-planets are trapped in a low-eccentricity 4:3 mean-motion resonance. This is only the third discovered system to be inside a 4:3 resonance, making it very valuable for planet formation and orbital evolution models.

- This paper presents 452 new 21-cm neutral hydrogen line measurements carried out with the FORT receiver of the meridian transit Nancay radiotelescope (NRT) in the period April 2003-March 2005. This observational programme is part of a larger project aiming at collecting an exhaustive and magnitude-complete HI extragalactic catalogue for Tully-Fisher applications (the so-called KLUN project, for Kinematics of the Local Universe studies, end in 2008). The whole on-line HI archive of the NRT contains today reduced HI-profiles for ~4500 spiral galaxies of declination delta >-40{deg} (http://klun.obs-nancay.fr). As an example of application, we use direct Tully-Fisher relation in three (JHK) bands in deriving distances to a large catalog of 3126 spiral galaxies distributed through the whole sky and sampling well the radial velocity range between 0 and 8000km/s. Thanks to an iterative method accounting for selection bias and smoothing effects, we show as a preliminary output a detailed and original map of the velocity field in the Local Universe.

- We report and discuss the results of a 22-cm radio survey carried out with the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) covering the A3528 complex, a chain formed by the merging ACO clusters A3528-A3530-A3532, located in the central region of the Shapley Concentration. Simultaneous 13-cm observations are also presented. Our final catalogue includes a total of 106 radio sources above the flux density limit of 0.8mJy. By cross-correlation with optical and spectroscopic catalogues we found 32 optical counterparts, nine of them belonging to the A3528 complex.

- Orbiting a bright, nearby star the 55 Cnc system offers a rare opportunity to study a multiplanet system that has a wide range of planetary masses and orbital distances. Using two decades of photometry and spectroscopy data, we have measured the rotation of the host star and its solar-like magnetic cycle. Accounting for this cycle in our velocimetric analysis of the system allows us to revise the properties of the outermost giant planet and its four planetary companions. The innermost planet 55 Cnc e is an unusually close-in super-Earth, whose transits have allowed for detailed follow-up studies. Recent observations favor the presence of a substantial atmosphere yet its composition, and the nature of the planet, remain unknown. We combined our derived planet mass (Mp=8.0+/-0.3M_{Earth}_) with refined measurement of its optical radius derived from HST/STIS observations (Rp=1.88+/-0.03R_{Earth}_ over 530-750nm) to revise the density of 55 Cnc e (rho=6.7+/-0.4g/cm^3^). Based on these revised properties we have characterized possible interiors of 55 Cnc e using a generalized Bayesian model. We confirm that the planet is likely surrounded by a heavyweight atmosphere, contributing a few percents of the planet radius. While we cannot exclude the presence of a water layer underneath the atmosphere, this scenario is unlikely given the observations of the planet across the entire spectrum and its strong irradiation. Follow-up observations of the system in photometry and in spectroscopy over different time-scales are needed to further investigate the nature and origin of this iconic super-Earth.

- Accurate absolute properties have been determined for the eclipsing triple star CO And (F8+F8) based on extensive differential photometry obtained by three robotic observatories and CfA spectroscopy. The eclipsing binary star orbit is circular with a period of 3.655days. The triple nature of this system is revealed by more than a century of timings of minimum light, and by the presence of third light in the photometric orbits.

- We conducted a large-scale survey for the cold infrared sources along the northern Galactic plane in the CO (J=1-0) line. There are 1912 IRAS sources selected on the basis of their color indices over the 12, 25, and 60{mu}m wave bands and their association with regions of recent star formation. A quick single-point survey was made toward all of the sources, which results in a detection of 1331 sources with significant CO emission above the detection limit of 0.7K, inferring a CO detection rate of 70%. Located over a wide range of the Galactocentric distances, the CO sources show high concentration toward the spiral arms. Among the detected sources, there are 351 sources found to have high-velocity CO wing emission. A search for the latest catalog of high-velocity CO flows (HVFs) from young stellar objects indicates that 289 sources are beyond the present lists of HVFs. These high-velocity wing sources provide us with a comprehensive database for the study of HVFs from young stellar objects. Using the known outflow sources as an effective indicator, we found that the detection rate for high-velocity wings during the quick survey is 62%, moderately sensitive in searching for new outflow sources. The CO detection rate of the IRAS sources, combined with the ratio of high-velocity wing, suggests that 41% of the CO sources are undergoing the HVF phase. In this paper, the CO spectra are presented along with the preliminary statistics of the data.

- We use velocity and metallicity information from Sloan Digital Sky Survey and Sloan Extension for Galactic Understanding and Exploration stellar spectroscopy to fit an orbit to the narrow 63{deg} stellar stream of Grillmair and Dionatos (GD; 2006ApJ...643L..17G). The stars in the stream have a retrograde orbit with eccentricity e=0.33 (perigalacticon of 14.4kpc and apogalacticon of 28.7kpc) and inclination approximately i~35{deg}. In the region of the orbit which is detected, it has a distance of about 7-11kpc from the Sun. Assuming a standard disk plus bulge and logarithmic halo potential for the Milky Way stars plus dark matter, the stream stars are moving with a large space velocity of approximately 276km/s at perigalacticon. Using this stream alone, we are unable to determine if the dark matter halo is oblate or prolate. The metallicity of the stream is [Fe/H]=-2.1+/-0.1. Observed proper motions for individual stream members above the main sequence turnoff are consistent with the derived orbit. None of the known globular clusters in the Milky Way have positions, radial velocities, and metallicities that are consistent with being the progenitor of the GD-1 stream.

- We present a catalog and imaging atlas of classical (collisional) RING galaxies distilled from the Arp-Madore Atlas of Southern Peculiar Galaxies and Associations and supplemented with other known RING galaxies from the published literature. The catalog lists the original host object, compiles available redshifts, and presents newly determined positions for the central (target) galaxy and its nearest companion(s). 127 collisional RING systems are illustrated and their components identified. All of the RINGS have plausible colliders identified; many are radial-velocity confirmed companions. Finally, we make note of the existence of a rare subclass of RING galaxies exemplified by AM 2136-492, double/concentric RING galaxies. These objects are predicted by numerical simulations, but they appear to be quite rare and/or short lived in nature.

- We present a sample of 484 L dwarfs, 210 of which are newly discovered from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) Data Release 7 spectroscopic database. We combine this sample with known L dwarfs to investigate their izJHKS colors. We present photometric distance relations based on i-z and i-J colors and derive distances to our L dwarf sample. We combine the distances with SDSS/2MASS proper motions in order to examine the tangential velocities.

- We report the discovery of tidal structures around the intermediate-aged (~700-800Myr), nearby (~85pc) star cluster Coma Berenices. The spatial and kinematic grouping of stars is determined with the Gaia DR2 parallax and proper motion data, by a clustering analysis tool, StarGO, to map 5D parameters (X, Y, Z, {mu}_{alpha}*cos{delta}, {mu}_{delta}_) onto a 2D neural network. A leading and a trailing tails, each with an extension of ~50pc are revealed for the first time around this disrupting star cluster. The cluster members, totaling to ~115^+5^_-3_M_{sun}_, are clearly mass segregated, and exhibit a flat mass function with {alpha}~0.79+/-0.16, in the sense of dN/dm{prop.to}m^-{alpha}^, where N is the number of member stars and m is stellar mass, in the mass range of m=0.25-2.51M_{sun}_. Within the tidal radius of ~6.9pc, there are 77 member candidates with an average position, i.e., as the cluster center, of RA=186.8110{deg}, and DE=25.8112{deg}, and an average distance of 85.8pc. Additional 120 member candidates reside in the tidal structures, i.e., outnumbering those in the cluster core. The expansion of escaping members lead to an anisotropy in the velocity field of the tidal tails. Our analysis also serendipitously uncovers an adjacent stellar group, part of which has been cataloged in the literature. We identify 218 member candidates, 10 times more than previously known. This star group is some 65pc away from, and ~400Myr younger than, Coma Ber, but is already at the final stage of disruption.
