- Based on the accurate color excess E_GBP,GRP_ of more than 4 million stars and the E_NUV,GBP_ of more than 1 million stars from Paper I (Sun+, 2021ApJS..254...38S), the distance and extinction of the molecular clouds (MCs) in the Magnani-Blitz-Mundy (MBM; 1985ApJ...295..402M) catalog at |b|>20{deg} are studied in combination with the distance measurement of Gaia/EDR3. The distance, as well as the color excess, is determined for 66 MCs. The color excess ratio E_NUV,GBP_/E_GBP,GRP_ is derived for 39 of them, which is obviously larger and implies more small particles at smaller extinction. In addition, the scale height of the dust disk is found to be about 100 pc and becomes large at the anticenter direction due to the disk flaring.

- We present the final distance measurements for the 2MASS Tully-Fisher (2MTF) survey. The final 2MTF catalogue contains 2062 nearby spiral galaxies in the CMB frame velocity range of 600<cz<10000km/s with a mean velocity of 4805km/s. The main update in this release is the replacement of some archival HI data with newer ALFALFA data. Using the 2MTF template relation, we calculate the distances and peculiar velocities of all 2MTF galaxies. The mean uncertainties of the linear distance measurements are around 22 per cent in all three infrared bands. 2MTF measurements agree well with the distances from the Cosmicflows-3 compilation, which contains 1117 common galaxies, including 28 with SNIa distance measurements. Using distances estimated from the '3-bands combined' 2MTF sample and a {chi}^2^ minimization method, we find best-fitting bulk flow amplitudes of 308+/-26km/s, 318+/-29km/s, and 286+/-25km/s at depths of R_I_=20, 30 and 40h^-1^Mpc, respectively, which is consistent with the {LAMNDA}CDM model and with previous 2MTF results with different estimation techniques and a preliminary catalogue.

- By positional matching to the catalogue of Galactic Ring Survey molecular clouds, we have derived distances to 793 Bolocam Galactic Plane Survey (BGPS) sources out of a possible 806 located within the region defined by Galactic longitudes l=28.5{deg}-31.5{deg} and latitudes |b|<=1{deg}. This section of the Galactic plane contains several major features of Galactic structure at different distances, mainly mid-arm sections of the Perseus and Sagittarius spiral arms and the tangent of the Scutum-Centaurus arm, which is coincident with the end of the Galactic long bar. By utilizing the catalogued cloud distances plus new kinematic distance determinations, we are able to separate the dense BGPS clumps into these three main line-of-sight components to look for variations in star formation properties that might be related to the different Galactic environments. We find no evidence of any difference in either the clump mass function or the average clump formation efficiency (CFE) between these components that might be attributed to environmental effects on scales comparable to Galactic structure features.

- The 2.4m Hiltner Telescope at MDM Observatory was used in an attempt to measure trigonometric parallaxes for 14 cataclysmic variable stars. Techniques are described in detail. In the best cases the parallax uncertainties are below 1mas, and significant parallaxes are found for most of the program stars. A Bayesian method that combines the parallaxes together with proper motions and absolute magnitude constraints is developed and used to derive distance estimates and confidence intervals. The most precise distance derived here is for WZ Sge, for which is found to be 43.3^+1.6^_-1.5_pc. Six Luyten Half-Second stars with previous precise parallax measurements were remeasured to test the techniques, and good agreement was found.

- We infer distances and their asymmetric uncertainties for two million stars using the parallaxes published in the Gaia DR1 (GDR1) catalogue. We do this with two distance priors: A minimalist, isotropic prior assuming an exponentially decreasing space density with increasing distance, and an anisotropic prior derived from the observability of stars in a Milky Way model. We validate our results by comparing our distance estimates for 105 Cepheids which have more precise, independently estimated distances. For this sample we find that the Milky Way prior performs better (the RMS of the scaled residuals is 0.40) than the exponentially decreasing space density prior (RMS is 0.57), although for distances beyond 2kpc the Milky Way prior performs worse, with a bias in the scaled residuals of -0.36 (vs. -0.07 for the exponentially decreasing space density prior). We do not attempt to include the photometric data in GDR1 due to the lack of reliable colour information. Our distance catalogue is available at http://www.mpia.de/homes/calj/tgas_distances/main.html. These should only be used to give individual distances. Combining data or testing models should be done with the original parallaxes, and attention paid to correlated and systematic uncertainties.

- We resolve the kinematic distance ambiguity for 266 inner Galaxy HII regions out of a sample of 291 using existing HI and ^13^CO sky surveys. Our sample contains all HII regions with measured radio recombination line emission over the extent of the ^13^CO Boston University-Five College Radio Astronomy Observatory Galactic Ring Survey (18<l<55{deg} and |b|<1) and contains ultra compact (UC), compact, and diffuse HII regions. We use two methods for resolving the distance ambiguity for each HII region: HI emission/absorption (HI E/A) and HI self-absorption (HI SA).

- Galactic planetary nebula (PN) distances are derived, except in a small number of cases, through the calibration of statistical properties of PNs. Such calibrations are limited by the accuracy of individual PN distances, which are obtained with several nonhomogeneous methods, each carrying its own set of liabilities. In this paper we use the physical properties of the PNs in the Magellanic Clouds and their accurately known distances to recalibrate the Shklovsky/Daub (1982ApJ...260..612D) distance technique. Our new calibration is very similar (within 1%) to the commonly used distance scale by Cahn et al. (1992, Cat. J/A+AS/94/399), although there are important differences. We present a catalog of Galactic PN distances using our recalibration, which can be used for future applications, and compare the best individual Galactic PN distances to our new and several other distance scales, both in the literature and newly recalibrated by us, finding that our scale is the most reliable to date.

- It is well known that the IRAS colors of planetary nebulae (PNe) are very similar to blackbody colors. Taking account of this characteristic, we define a new method to obtain some information about the distance to PNe by blackbody fitting of IRAS four-band fluxes, assuming these fluxes are due to thermal emission from the nebular dust envelope. The fit should have two free parameters - the dust temperature TD and the distance-dependent "scaling factor" A - under the assumption of uniform dust mass. We find that the A-values have a good correlation with published distances. The scaling factor A could be a more effective distance scale than others, because many PNe have been detected as IRAS sources and the extinction of IRAS fluxes is not so severe, and is known. We also find that TD is concentrated between 100 and 200K, with a typical value of about 150K.

- Any calibration of the present value of the Hubble constant (H_0_) requires recession velocities and distances of galaxies. While the conversion of observed velocities into true recession velocities has only a small effect on the result, the derivation of unbiased distances which rest on a solid zero point and cover a useful range of about 4-30Mpc is crucial. A list of 279 such galaxy distances within v<2000km/s is given which are derived from the tip of the red-giant branch (TRGB), from Cepheids, and/or from supernovae of type Ia (SNe Ia).
