- We present a ~1.5x8{deg}^2^ (220x1195pc^2^) multiband imaging photometer for Spitzer 24um image of the Galactic center (GC) and an accompanying point-source list. This image is the highest spatial resolution (6"~0.25pc) and sensitivity map ever taken across the GC at this wavelength, showing the emission by warm dust in unprecedented detail. Over 120000 point sources are identified in this catalog with signal-to-noise ratios greater than five and flux densities from 0.6mJy to 9Jy.

- We present a highly reliable flux-limited census of 18949 point sources in the Galactic midplane that have intrinsically red mid-infrared colors. These sources were selected from the Spitzer Space Telescope Galactic Legacy Infrared Midplane Survey Extraordinaire (GLIMPSE) I and II surveys of 274{deg}^2^ of the Galactic midplane, and consist mostly of high- and intermediate-mass young stellar objects (YSOs) and asymptotic giant branch (AGB) stars. The selection criteria were carefully chosen to minimize the effects of position-dependent sensitivity, saturation, and confusion. The distribution of sources on the sky and their location in the Infrared Array Camera and the Multiband Image Photometer for Spitzer 24um color-magnitude and color-color space are presented. Using this large sample, we find that YSOs and AGB stars can be mostly separated by simple color-magnitude selection criteria into approximately 50%-70% of YSOs and 30%-50% of AGB stars. Planetary nebulae and background galaxies together represent at most 2%-3% of all the red sources. 1004 red sources in the GLIMPSE II region, mostly AGB stars with high mass-loss rates, show significant (>=0.3mag) variability at 4.5 and/or 8.0um. With over 11,000 likely YSOs and over 7000 likely AGB stars, this is to date the largest uniform census of AGB stars and high- and intermediate-mass YSOs in the Milky Way Galaxy.

- The Galactic Legacy Infrared Midplane Survey Extraordinaire (GLIMPSE), is a survey of Galactic Plane central parts made with the Infrared Array Camera (IRAC) aboard the Spitzer Space Telescope (SST). It covers approximately 220 square degrees, between galactic longitudes +/-65{deg} and +/-1{deg} in galactic latitude (up to 4.2{deg} in the central parts). The four IRAC bands are centered at approximately 3.6, 4.5, 5.8 and 8.0{mu}m. The GLIMPSE combines the 3 surveys: * GLIMPSE-I covers the longitude ranges |l|=10--65{deg} and the latitude range |b|<=1{deg} (Benjamin et al. 2003PASP..115..953B) * GLIMPSE-II covers the longitude range of |l|<=10{deg}, and a latitude range |b|<=1{deg} from |l|=5--10, |b|<=1.5 for |l|=2--5, and |b|<=2{deg} for |l|<=2. GLIMPSE-II coverage excludes the Galactic center region |l|<=1, |b|<=0.75 observed by the GALCEN GO program (PID=3677). * GLIMPSE-3D adds vertical extensions up to |b|=4.2{deg} near the galactic center, and up to |b|=3{deg} in selected other parts of the Galaxy (+/-10, 18.5, 25, 30, and -15 (345){deg}). GLIMPSE-II had two-epoch coverage for a total of three visits on the sky. The observations consisted of two 1.2 second integrations at each position in the first epoch of data taking (September 2005) and a single 1.2 second integration at each position six months later (April 2006). The highly reliable v2.0 GLIMPSEII Catalog (v2.0_GLMIIC) consists of point sources that are detected at least twice in one band and at least once in an adjacent band and a S/N > 5 cut for the band with the two detections. There are also faint and bright flux limits on the Catalog entries. The more complete v2.0 Archive (v2.0_GLMIIA) has less stringent criteria, namely two detections in any bands, those detections having a S/N > 5. The IRAC data were bandmerged with the 2MASS All-Sky Point Source Catalog. See the GLIMPSEII v2.0 Data Products & Data Delivery document for more details. The catalog available from CDS merges the 3 surveys GLIMPSE-I (v2.0), GLIMPSE-II (v2.0), and GLIMPSE-3D; Catalog and Archive records are also merged here. In the regions of overlap between the 3 surveys (e.g. longitude around 10{deg}) preference was given to (1) GLIMPSE-II, as recommended in the GLIMPSE documents of May 2007 (glimpse1_v2.0.pdf) and April 2008 (glimpse2-v2.0.pdf); (2) GLIMPSE-I, and (3) GLIMPSE-3D sources. - We present a census of circumstellar disks in the Chamaeleon I star-forming region. Using the Infrared Array Camera and the Multiband Imaging Photometer on board the Spitzer Space Telescope, we have obtained images of Chamaeleon I at 3.6, 4.5, 5.8, 8.0, and 24um. To search for new disk-bearing members of the cluster, we have performed spectroscopy on objects that have red colors in these data. Through this work, we have discovered four new members of Chamaeleon I with spectral types of M4, M6, M7.5, and L0.

- In this contribution, we describe the applied methods to construct a 24{mu}m based point source catalog derived from the image data of the MIPSGAL 24{mu}m Galactic Plane Survey and the corresponding data products. The high quality catalog product contains 933818 sources, with a total of 1353228 in the full archive catalog. The source tables include positional and photometric information derived from the 24{mu}m images, source quality and confusion flags, and counterpart photometry from matched 2MASS, GLIMPSE, and WISE point sources. Completeness decay data cubes are constructed at 1' angular resolution that describe the varying background levels over the MIPSGAL field and the ability to extract sources of a given magnitude from this background. The completeness decay cubes are included in the set of data products. We present the results of our efforts to verify the astrometric and photometric calibration of the catalog, and present several analyses of minor anomalies in these measurements to justify adopted mitigation strategies.

- A new, unbiased Spitzer MIPS imaging survey (~1.8deg^2^) of the young stellar content of the Vela Molecular Ridge-D (VMR-D) is presented. The survey is complete down to 5 and 250mJy at 24 and 70{mu}m, respectively. A total of 849 sources are detected at 24{mu}m, and 52 of them also have a 70{mu}m counterpart. The VMR-D region is one that we have already partially mapped in dust and gas millimeter emission, and we discuss the correlation between the Spitzer compact sources and the millimeter contours. About half of the 24{mu}m sources are located inside the region delimited by the ^12^CO(1-0) contours, corresponding to only one-third of the full area mapped with MIPS. Therefore, the 24{mu}m source density increases by about 100% moving from outside to inside the CO contours. For the 70{mu}m sources, the corresponding density increase is a factor of 4. About 400 sources of these have a 2MASS counterpart, and we have used this to construct a Ks versus Ks-[24] diagram and to identify the protostellar population inside the cloud.

- We present the Spitzer Archival Far-InfraRed Extragalactic Survey (SAFIRES). This program produces refined mosaics and source lists for all far-infrared (FIR) extragalactic data taken during the more than six years of the cryogenic operation of the Spitzer Space Telescope. The SAFIRES products consist of FIR data in two wavelength bands (70 and 160{mu}m) across approximately 180 square degrees of sky, with source lists containing far-infrared fluxes for almost 40000 extragalactic point sources. Thus, SAFIRES provides a large, robust archival far-infrared data set suitable for many scientific goals.

- The First-Look Survey (FLS) of the Space Infrared Telescope Facility (SIRTF) will cover about 5deg^2^ centered on J2000.0 (17:18+59:30) in order to characterize the extragalactic infrared sky 2 orders of magnitude deeper than the IRAS survey. We expect that most of the FLS far-infrared ({lambda} = 160, 70, and 24 {mu}m) sources will be star-forming galaxies obeying the very tight far-infrared/radio correlation and will be continuum radio sources with flux densities S>~100{mu}Jy at {nu}=1.4GHz. Conversely, radio sources stronger than 100{mu}Jy are usually powered by star-forming galaxies, plus some active galactic nuclei, and most should be detectable by the SIRTF FLS. Thus, a sensitive radio survey can be used to select and identify most of the SIRTF FLS source population before launch. We used the B configuration of the VLA to make an image of the FLS area at {nu}=1.4GHz with {sigma}=~23{mu}Jy/beam rms fluctuations, {theta}=5'' resolution, and {sigma}_{alpha}_=~{sigma}_{delta}_=~0.5'' rms uncertainties in right ascension and declination. The resulting radio image and catalog of 3565 radio components with peak flux densities Sp>=5{sigma}=115{mu}Jy/beam have been released via the Web to expedite follow-up optical identification and spectroscopy.

- The Spitzer Atlas of Stellar Spectra (SASS) includes 159 stellar spectra (5 to 32um; R~100) taken with the Infrared Spectrograph (IRS) on the Spitzer Space Telescope. It gathers representative spectra of a broad section of the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram, intended to serve as a general stellar spectral reference in the mid-infrared. It includes stars from all luminosity classes, as well as Wolf-Rayet (WR) objects. Furthermore, it includes some objects of intrinsic interest, like blue stragglers and certain pulsating variables. All the spectra have been uniformly reduced.

- We present an atlas of Spitzer/IRS high-resolution (R~600) 10-37um spectra for 24 well known starburst galaxies. The spectra are dominated by fine-structure lines, molecular hydrogen lines, and emission bands of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Six out of the eight objects with a known active galactic nucleus (AGN) component show emission of the high excitation [NeV] line. This line is also seen in one other object (NGC 4194) with, a priori, no known AGN component. In addition to strong PAH emission features in this wavelength range (11.3, 12.7, 16.4um), the spectra reveal other weak hydrocarbon features at 10.6, 13.5, 14.2um, and a previously unreported emission feature at 10.75um. An unidentified absorption feature at 13.7um is detected in many of the starbursts. We use the fine-structure lines to derive the abundance of neon and sulfur for 14 objects where the HI 7-6 line is detected. We further use the molecular hydrogen lines to sample the properties of the warm molecular gas. Several basic diagrams characterizing the properties of the sample are also shown. We have combined the spectra of all the pure starburst objects to create a high signal-to-noise ratio template, which is available to the community.

- We have obtained Spitzer IRAC observations of the central 2.0{deg}x1.4{deg} (~280x200pc) of the Galaxy at 3.6-8.0um. A point-source catalog of 1065565 objects is presented. The catalog includes magnitudes for the point sources at 3.6, 4.5, 5.8, and 8.0um, as well as JHKs photometry from Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS). The point-source catalog is confusion limited with average limits of 12.4, 12.1, 11.7, and 11.2mag for [3.6], [4.5], [5.8], and [8.0], respectively. We find that the confusion limits are spatially variable because of stellar surface density, background surface brightness level, and extinction variations across the survey region. The overall distribution of point-source density with Galactic latitude and longitude is essentially constant, but structure does appear when sources of different magnitude ranges are selected. Bright stars show a steep decreasing gradient with Galactic latitude and a slow decreasing gradient with Galactic longitude, with a peak at the position of the Galactic center. From IRAC color-magnitude and color-color diagrams, we conclude that most of the point sources in our catalog have IRAC magnitudes and colors characteristic of red giant and asymptotic giant branch (AGB) stars.

- We present Spitzer IRAC, NOAO 2.1m Flamingos, Keck NIRC, and FCRAO SEQUOIA observations of the massive star-forming complex S254-S258, covering an area of 25'x20'. Using a combination of the IRAC and NIR data, we identify and classify the young stellar objects (YSOs) in the complex. We detect 510 sources with near- or mid-IR excess, and we classify 87 Class I and 165 Class II sources. The YSOs are found in clusters surrounded by isolated YSOs in a low-density distributed population. The ratio of clustered to total YSOs is 0.8. We identify six new clusters in the complex. One of them, G192.63-00, is located around the ionizing star of the HII region S255. We hypothesize that the ionizing star of S255 was formed in this cluster. We also detect a southern component of the cluster in HII region S256. The cluster G192.54-0.15, located inside HII region S254 has a V_LSR_ of 17km/s with respect to the main cloud, and we conclude that it is located in the background of the complex. The structure of the molecular cloud is examined using ^12^CO, and ^13^CO, as well as a near-IR extinction map. The main body of the molecular cloud has V_LSR_ between 5 and 9km/s. The arc-shaped structure of the molecular cloud following the border of the HII regions and the high column density in the border of the HII regions support the idea that the material has been swept up by the expansion of the HII regions.

Existing optical photometric and spectroscopic are combined with this new data in a comprehensive optical-to-mid-IR colour catalogue of 260 GCs. Empirical colour-metallicity relationships are derived for all optical-to-mid-IR colour combinations.

- We present IRAC and MIPS images and photometry of a sample of previously known planetary nebulae (PNe) from the Surveying the Agents of a Galaxy's Evolution (SAGE) survey of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) performed with the Spitzer Space Telescope. Of the 233 known PNe in the survey field, 185 objects were detected in at least two of the IRAC bands, and 161 detected in the MIPS 24um images. Color-color and color-magnitude diagrams are presented using several combinations of IRAC, MIPS, and Two Micron All Sky Survey magnitudes. The location of an individual PN in the color-color diagrams is seen to depend on the relative contributions of the spectral components which include molecular hydrogen, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), infrared forbidden line emission from the ionized gas, warm dust continuum, and emission directly from the central star. The sample of LMC PNe is compared to a number of Galactic PNe and found not to significantly differ in their position in color-color space. We also explore the potential value of IR PNe luminosity functions (LFs) in the LMC. IRAC LFs appear to follow the same functional form as the well-established [OIII] LFs although there are several PNe with observed IR magnitudes brighter than the cut-offs in these LFs.

- We present a photometric catalogue of seven selected fields towards the Galactic bulge, observed with the IRAC and MIPS imaging instruments on-board the Spitzer Space Telescope with unprecedented sensitivity. The locations of the fields are defined in Figure 1 and Table 1 of the paper. In each of the fields, tens of thousands of point sources were detected. The catalogue is split up into seven tables, according to the different fields. Table 5 in the paper gives ten lines of the band-merged catalogue of the Bulge N1 field as an example. In the first paper based on this data set, we present the observations, data reduction, the final catalogue of sources, and a detailed comparison to previous mid-IR surveys of the Galactic bulge, as well as to theoretical isochrones. We find in general good agreement with other surveys and the isochrones, supporting the high quality of our catalogue. Besides a catalogue for each field, fits files of the IRAC and MIPS mosaics are presented, too. As a cautionary note for the users, we would like to add that the least reliable sources in our catalogue are those with detection in only one IRAC band and no MIPS detection, and with (i) either no 2MASS and DENIS counterpart (depending on the field, between 3.1% and 6.7% of the sources), or (ii) a DENIS and 2MASS counterpart at a distance between 1.6 and 3 arcseconds (depending on the field, between 0.4% and 1.0% of the sources).

- We discuss the combined IRAC/MIPS c2d Spitzer Legacy observations of the Serpens star-forming region. We describe criteria for isolating bona fide YSOs from the extensive background of extragalactic objects. We then discuss the properties of the resulting high-confidence set of 235 YSOs. An additional 51 lower confidence YSOs outside this area are identified from the MIPS data and 2MASS photometry. We present color-color diagrams to compare our observed source properties with those of theoretical models for star/disk/envelope systems and our own modeling of the objects that are well represented by a stellar photosphere plus circumstellar disk.

- We present a uniform mid-infrared imaging and photometric survey of 36 young, nearby, star-forming clusters and groups using Spitzer IRAC and MIPS. We have confidently identified and classified 2548 young stellar objects (YSOs) using recently established mid-infrared color-based methods. We have devised and applied a new algorithm for the isolation of local surface density enhancements from point source distributions, enabling us to extract the overdense cores of the observed star-forming regions for further analysis. We have compiled several basic structural measurements of these cluster cores from the data, such as mean surface densities of sources, cluster core radii, and aspect ratios, in order to characterize the ranges for these quantities. We find that a typical cluster core is 0.39pc in radius, has 26 members with infrared excess in a ratio of Class II to Class I sources of 3.7, is embedded in a A_Ks_=0.8mag cloud clump, and has a surface density of 60pc^-2^. We examine the nearest neighbor distances among the YSOs in several ways, demonstrating similarity in the spacings between Class II and Class I sources but large member clusters appear more dense than smaller clusters. We demonstrate that near-uniform source spacings in cluster cores are common, suggesting that simple Jeans fragmentation of parsec-scale cloud clumps may be the dominant process governing star formation in nearby clusters and groups. Finally, we compare our results to other similar surveys in the literature and discuss potential biases in the data to guide further interpretation.

- The Spitzer Science Center and IRSA have released a set of Enhanced Imaging Products (SEIP) from the Spitzer Heritage Archive. These include Super Mosaics and a Source List (SL) of photometry for compact sources. The primary requirement on the Source List is very high reliability -- with areal coverage, completeness, and limiting depth being secondary considerations. The SEIP include data from the four channels of IRAC (3.6, 4.5, 5.8, 8 microns) and the 24 micron channel of MIPS. The full set of products for the Spitzer cryogenic mission includes around 42 million sources.
