- Observations of the globular cluster M10 were taken at the Kitt Peak National Observatory (KPNO) 0.9 m telescope on the nights of UT dates 1995 May 6 and 9 using BVI filters. All frames were taken using a 2048x2048 pixel CCD with pixels covering 0.68 arcseconds on a side, for a total field of approximately 23.2 arcminutes on a side. The data were calibrated against Stetson (2000PASP..112..925S) standard stars. Additional high-resolution images were taken at the 3.6 m Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope (CFHT) on the night of UT date 1993 April 13 in BI filters. These observations used a 1200x1200 pixel CCD with pixels covering 0.11 arcseconds on a side, for a total field 2.2 arcminutes on a side, roughly centered on the cluster core. These data were calibrated against the KPNO data.

- We present BVI photometry for poorly known southern hemisphere open clusters: NGC 2425, Haffner 10 and Czernik 29. We have calculated the density profile and established the number of stars in each cluster. The colour-magnitude diagrams of the objects show a well-defined main sequence. However, the red giant clump is present only in NGC 2425 and Haffner 10. For these two clusters we estimated the age as 2.5+/-0.5Gyr assuming metallicity of Z=0.008. The apparent distance moduli are in the ranges 13.2<(m-M)_V<13.6 and 14.3<(m-M)_V<14.7, while heliocentric distances are estimated to be 2.9<d<3.8kpc and 3.1<d<4.3kpc, respectively for NGC 2425 and Haffner 10. The angular separation of 2.4deg (150pc at mean distance) may indicate a common origin of the two clusters.

- At the Universitaetssternwarte Bochum near Cerro Armazones we have monitored the Seyfert-1 galaxy 3C 120 between September 2014 and March 2015 in BVRI and a narrow band filter covering the redshifted H{alpha} line; in addition we obtained a single con-temporary spectrum with FAST at Mt. Hopkins. Compared to earlier epochs 3C 120 is about a factor of three brighter, allowing us to study the shape of the broad line region (BLR) and the dust torus in a high luminosity phase. The analysis of the light curves yields that the dust echo is rather sharp and symmetric in contrast to the more complex broad H{alpha} BLR echo. We investigate how far this supports an optically thick bowl-shaped BLR and dust torus geometry as proposed by Kawaguchi & Mori (2010ApJ...724L.183K) and Goad et al. (2012MNRAS.426.3086G). The comparison with several parameterizations of these models supports the following geometry: the BLR clouds lie inside the bowl closely above the bowl rim, up to a half covering angle 0{deg}<theta<40{deg} (measured against the equatorial plane). Then the BLR is spread over many isodelay surfaces, yielding a smeared and structured echo as observed. Furthermore, if the BLR clouds shield the bottom of the bowl rim against radiation from the nucleus, the hot dust emission comes essentially from the top edge of the bowl (40{deg}<theta< 45{deg}). Then, for small inclinations as for 3C120, the top dust edge forms a ring which largely coincides with a narrow range of isodelay surfaces, yielding the observed sharp dust echo. The scale height of the BLR increases with radial distance from the black hole. This leads to luminosity dependent foreshortening effects of the lag. We discuss implications and possible corrections of the foreshortening for the black hole mass determination and consequences for the lag (size) - luminosity relationships and the difference to interferometric torus sizes.

- We present CCD photometric distance estimates of 100 SCR (SuperCOSMOS RECONS) systems with {mu}>=0.18"/yr, 29 of which are new discoveries previously unpublished in this series of papers. These distances are estimated using a combination of new VRI photometry acquired at CTIO and JHK magnitudes extracted from 2MASS. The estimates are improvements over those determined using photographic plate BRI magnitudes from SuperCOSMOS plus JHK, as presented in the original discovery papers. In total, 77 of the 100 systems investigated are predicted to be within 25pc.

- TY Pup is a well-known bright eclipsing binary with an orbital period of 0.8192 days. New light curves in B, V, (RI)_C_ bands were obtained with the 0.61 m reflector robotic telescope (PROMPT-8) at CTIO in Chile during 2015 and 2017. By analyzing those photometric data with the W-D method, it is found that TY Pup is a low-mass-ratio (q~0.184) and deep-contact binary with a high fill-out factor (84.3%). An investigation of all available times of minimum light including three new ones obtained with the 60 cm and the 1.0 m telescopes at Yunnan Observatories in China indicates that the period change of TY Pup is complex. An upward parabolic variation in the O-C diagram is detected to be superimposed on a cyclic oscillation. The upward parabolic change reveals a long-term continuous increase in the orbital period at a rate of dP/dt=5.57(+/-0.08)x10^-8^ days/yr. The period increase can be explained by mass transfer from the less massive component (M_2_~0.3 M_{sun}_) to the more massive one (M_1_~1.65 M_{sun}_). The binary will be merging when it meets the criterion that the orbital angular momentum is less than three times the total spin angular momentum, i.e., J_orb_<3J_rot_. This suggests that the system will finally merge into a rapid-rotating single star and may produce a luminous red nova. The cyclic oscillation in the O-C diagram can be interpreted by the light-travel time effect via the presence of a third body.

- CCD photometry of the galactic open clusters NGC 2658, NGC 2849, and NGC 3247 is presented. For the first two clusters, BV(RI)_c data are given, and for NGC 3247 the data are BV(I)_c. The observations were carried out from the Complejo Astronomico El Leoncito (Argentina), and from Las Campanas (Chile). Each cluster was observed on two different nights; when possible, measurements for a given star were averaged. NGC 2658 observations were carried out from CASLEO on the nights of 8-9 January 1997 and 18-19 April 2001, in the BVRI filters. NGC 2849 data in the BVRI filters were obtained at Las Campanas on the night 10-11 April 1996, and at CASLEO on 19-20 April 2001. NGC 3247 was observed at CASLEO on the nights 16-17 January 1996 (BV) and 1-2 April 1998 (BVI). The given star coordinates are relative to the corresponding cluster center.

- We present a CCD photometric survey of the central one-half degree of the old open cluster, M67, in U, B, V, and I colors to magnitude V=20. Extensive comparison of our photometry with other published datasets shows excellent agreement, indicating that CCD photometry is capable of producing a uniform set of measurements consistent with the photometric system defined primarily by the Landolt standard sequence. The color-magnitude diagram of the cluster shows a well-defined main sequence extending at least to the limit of the photometry at M(V)=10.55 and a substantial binary sequence. At least 38 percent of cluster stars are binaries. The observations were performed on 3 nights on 15-18 February 1990 with the 1.09m telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory with a Tektronix 512^2^ CCD camera; a standard KPNO UBVRI filter set was used, with BVR filters being the Harris et, and I the "nearly Mould" filter.

- New CCD four-color light curves of TY Boo made on eight nights over 2010-2011 were analyzed in comparison with historical light curves obtained from 1969 through 2011. The light curves could all be represented by a unique geometry and by wavelength consistent photometric parameters of a two-spot model on either stellar component. It is confirmed that TY Boo is a shallow W-type contact binary system with a degree of contact factor of f=7.6%(+/-0.8). A period investigation based on all available data shows a long-term decrease (dP/dt=-3.65x10^-8^days/yr) and an oscillation (P_3_=58.9yr, A=0.0254days). Without ruling out the presence of a tertiary companion, the weight of evidence points to an active cyclic magnetic activity that causes spot formation rather than an unseen companion. Mass transfer between the components and angular momentum loss are also considered as possible mechanisms.
