- Utilizing the SDSS-DR13 spectroscopic data set, we create a new publicly available catalog of 1800 galaxy clusters (GalWeight cluster catalog, GalWCat19) and a corresponding catalog of 34,471 identified member galaxies. The clusters are identified from overdensities in redshift phase space. The GalWeight technique introduced by Abdullah+ (2018ApJ...861...22A) is then applied to identify cluster members. The completeness of the cluster catalog (GalWCat19) and the procedure followed to determine cluster mass are tested on the Bolshoi N-body simulations. The 1800 GalWCat19 clusters range in redshift between 0.01 and 0.2 and have masses in the range of (0.4-14)x10^14^h^-1^M_{sun}_. The cluster catalog provides a large number of cluster parameters, including sky position, redshift, membership, velocity dispersion, and mass at overdensities {Delta}=500, 200, 100, and 5.5. The 34471 member galaxies are identified within the radius at which the density is 200 times the critical density of the universe. The galaxy catalog provides the coordinates of each galaxy and the ID of the cluster that the galaxy belongs to. The cluster velocity dispersion scales with mass as log({sigma}_200_)=log(946+/-52km/s)+ (0.349+/-0.142)log[h(z)M_200_/10^1 5^M_{sun}], with a scatter of {delta}log{sigma}=0.06+/-0.04.

- A study of the group properties of galaxies in our immediate neighborhood provides a singular opportunity to observationally constrain the halo mass function, a fundamental characterization of galaxy formation. Detailed studies of individual groups have provided the coefficients of scaling relations between a proxy for the virial radius, velocity dispersion, and mass that usefully allow groups to be defined over the range 10^10^-10^15^M_{sun}_. At a second hierarchical level, associations are defined as regions around collapsed halos extending to the zero-velocity surface at the decoupling from cosmic expansion. The most remarkable result of the study emerges from the construction of the halo mass function from the sample. At ~10^12^M_{sun}_, there is a jog from the expectation Sheth-Tormen function, such that halo counts drop by a factor ~3 in all lower mass bins.

- Spectroscopic and photometric data of the galaxy population of the galaxy cluster Abell 1367, over a field of 34'x90', covering the cluster centre out to a radius of ~2.2Mpc, are presented as the first stage of a study of their stellar population and star formation properties. Spectroscopic catalogue contains new detection data of emission and/or absorption lines for 84 galaxies in our survey regions. Photometric data give optical and near-infrared isophotal magnitudes for 303 galaxies, determined within R_24_ isophotal diameters. H{alpha} emission catalogue reports equivalent widths and fluxes of 72 galaxies, confirmed as cluster members of Abell 1367.

- {gamma} Cas is the prototypical classical Be star and is recently best known for its variable hard X-ray emission. To elucidate the reasons for this emission, we mounted a multiwavelength campaign in 2010 centered around four XMM-Newton observations. The observational techniques included long baseline optical interferometry (LBOI) from two instruments at CHARA, photometry carried out by an automated photometric telescope and H{alpha} observations. Because {gamma} Cas is also known to be in a binary, we measured radial velocities from the H{alpha} line and redetermined its period as 203.55+/-0.20 days and its eccentricity as near zero.

- Understanding the properties of young open clusters, such as the Initial Mass Function (IMF), star formation history and dynamic evolution, is crucial to obtain reliable theoretical predictions of the mechanisms involved in the star formation process. We want to obtain a list, as complete as possible, of confirmed members of the young open cluster Gamma Velorum, with the aim of deriving general cluster properties such as the IMF. We used all available spectroscopic membership indicators within the Gaia-ESO public archive together with literature photometry and X-ray data and, for each method, we derived the most complete list of candidate cluster members. Then, we considered photometry, gravity and radial velocities as necessary conditions to select a subsample of candidates whose membership was confirmed by using the lithium and H{alpha} lines and X-rays as youth indicators. We found 242 confirmed and 4 possible cluster members for which we derived masses using very recent stellar evolutionary models. The cluster IMF in the mass range investigated in this study shows a slope of {alpha}=2.6+/-0.5 for 0.5<M/M_{sun}<1.3 and {alpha}=1.1+/-0.4 for 0.16<M/M_{sun}_<0.5 and is consistent with a standard IMF. The similarity of the IMF of the young population around gamma^2^ Vel to that in other star forming regions and the field suggests it may have formed through very similar processes.

- We report the discovery of two planetary systems, namely G 264-012, an M4.0 dwarf with two terrestrial planets (M_b_sini=2.50^+0.29^_-0.30_M_{sun}_ and M_c_sini=3.75^+0.48^_-0.47_M_{sun}_), and Gl 393, a bright M2.0 dwarf with one terrestrial planet (M_b_sini=1.71+/-0.24M_{sun}_). Although both stars were proposed to belong to young stellar kinematic groups, we estimate their ages to be older than about 700Ma. The two planets around G 264-012 were discovered using only radial-velocity (RV) data from the CARMENES exoplanet survey, with estimated orbital periods of 2.30d and 8.05d, respectively. Photometric monitoring and analysis of activity indicators reveal a third signal present in the RV measurements, at about 100d, caused by stellar rotation. The planet Gl 393b was discovered in the RV data from the HARPS, CARMENES, and HIRES instruments. Its identification was only possible after modelling, with a Gaussian process (GP), the variability produced by the magnetic activity of the star. For the earliest observations, this variability produced a forest of peaks in the periodogram of the RVs at around the 34d rotation period determined from Kepler data, which disappeared in the latest epochs. After correcting for them with this GP model, a significant signal showed at a period of 7.03d. No significant signals in any of our spectral activity indicators or contemporaneous photometry were found at any of the planetary periods. Given the orbital and stellar properties, the equilibrium temperatures of the three planets are all higher than that for Earth. Current planet formation theories suggest that these two systems represent a common type of architecture. This is consistent with formation following the core accretion paradigm.

- XO-2 is the first confirmed wide stellar binary system where the almost twin components XO-2N and XO-2S have planets, and it is a peculiar laboratory in which to investigate the diversity of planetary systems. This stimulated a detailed characterization study of the stellar and planetary components based on new observations. We collected high-resolution spectra with the HARPS-N spectrograph and multi-band light curves. Spectral analysis led to an accurate determination of the stellar atmospheric parameters and characterization of the stellar activity, and high-precision radial velocities of XO-2N were measured. We collected 14 transit light curves of XO-2Nb used to improve the transit parameters. Photometry provided accurate magnitude differences between the stars and a measure of their rotation periods.

- Ionized gas and stellar kinematical parameters have been measured along the major axis of 20 nearby disc galaxies. We discuss the properties of each sample galaxy, distinguishing between those characterized by regular or peculiar kinematics. In early-type disc galaxies, ionized gas tends to rotate faster than stars and to have a lower velocity dispersion (V_g_>V_*_ and {sigma}_g_<{sigma}_*_), whereas in late-type spirals, gas and stars show almost the same rotation velocities and velocity dispersions (V_g_=~V_*_ and {sigma}_g_=~{sigma}_*_). Incorporating the early-type disc galaxies studied by Bertola et al. (1995ApJ...448L..13B), Fisher (1997, Cat. <J/AJ/113/950>) and Corsini et al. (1999, Cat. <J/A+A/342/671>), we have compiled a sample of some 40 galaxies for which the major-axis radial profiles of both the stellar and gaseous components have been measured. The value of {sigma}_*_ measured at R_e_/4 turns out to be strongly correlated with the galaxy morphological type, while {sigma}_g_ is not and sometimes takes values above the range expected from thermal motions or small-scale turbulence.
