- We carried out photometric and low-resolution spectral observations of six eclipsing ultrashort-period binaries with main-sequence (MS)components. The light-curve solutions of the Rozhen observations show that all targets are overcontact systems. We found a well-defined empirical relation between period and semi-major axis for the short-period binaries and used it for estimation of the global parameters of the targets. Our results revealed that NSVS 925605 is quite an interesting target: (i) it is one of a few contact binaries with M components; (ii) it exhibits high activity (emission in the H{alpha} line, X-ray emission, large cool spots, non-Planck energy distribution); (iii) its components differ in temperature by 700 K. All the appearances of high magnetic activity and the huge fill-out factor (0.7) of NSVS 925605 may be a precursor of the predicted merging of close magnetic binaries. Another unusual binary is NSVS 2700153, which reveals considerable long-term variability.

- We present high-resolution speckle interferometric imaging observations of TESS exoplanet host stars using the NN-EXPLORE Exoplanet and Stellar Speckle Imager instrument at the 3.5m WIYN telescope. Eight TESS objects of interest that were originally discovered by Kepler were previously observed using the Differential Speckle Survey Instrument. Speckle observations of 186 TESS stars were carried out, and 45 (24%) likely bound companions were detected. This is approximately the number of companions we would expect to observe given the established 46% binarity rate in exoplanet host stars. For the detected binaries, the distribution of stellar mass ratio is consistent with that of the standard Raghavan distribution and may show a decrease in high-q systems as the binary separation increases. The distribution of binary orbital periods, however, is not consistent with the standard Ragahavan model, and our observations support the premise that exoplanet-hosting stars with binary companions have, in general, wider orbital separations than field binaries. We find that exoplanet-hosting binary star systems show a distribution peaking near 100 au, higher than the 40-50au peak that is observed for field binaries. This fact led to earlier suggestions that planet formation is suppressed in close binaries.

- We report the discovery of two transiting exoplanets from the Wide Angle Search for Planets (WASP) survey, WASP-150b and WASP-176b. WASP-150b is an eccentric (e=0.38) hot Jupiter on a 5.6day orbit around a V=12.03, F8 main-sequence host. The host star has a mass and radius of 1.4M_{sun}_ and 1.7R_{sun}_ respectively. WASP-150b has a mass and radius of 8.5M_J_ and 1.1R_J_, leading to a large planetary bulk density of 6.4{rho}_J_. WASP-150b is found to be ~3Gyr old, well below its circularization timescale, supporting the eccentric nature of the planet. WASP-176b is a hot Jupiter planet on a 3.9day orbit around a V=12.01, F9 sub-giant host. The host star has a mass and radius of 1.3M{sun} and 1.9R{sun}. WASP-176b has a mass and radius of 0.86M_J_ and 1.5R_J_, respectively, leading to a planetary bulk density of 0.23{rho}_J_.

- We report on speckle observations of binary stars carried out at the WIYN Telescope over the period from 2010 September through 2012 February, providing relative astrometry for 2521 observations of 883 objects, 856 of which are double stars and 27 of which are triples. The separations measured span a range of 0.01-1.75 arcsec. Wavelengths of 562, 692, and 880 nm were used, and differential photometry at one or more of these wavelengths is presented in most cases. 66 components were resolved for the first time. We also estimate detection limits at 0.2 and 1.0 arcsec for high-quality observations in cases where no companion was seen, a total of 176 additional objects. Detection limits vary based on observing conditions and signal-to-noise ratio, but are approximately 4 mag at 0.2 arcsec and 6 mag at 1.0 arcsec on average. Analyzing the measurement precision of the data set, we find that the individual separations obtained have linear measurement uncertainties of approximately 2 mas, and photometry is uncertain to approximately 0.1 mag in general. This work provides fundamental, well-calibrated data for future orbit and mass determinations, and we present three first orbits and total mass estimates of nearby K-dwarf systems as examples of this potential.

- We report 370 measures of 170 components of binary and multiple-star systems, obtained from speckle imaging observations made with the Differential Speckle Survey Instrument (DSSI) at Lowell Observatory's Discovery Channel Telescope in 2015 through 2017. Of the systems studied, 147 are binary stars, 10 are seen as triple systems, and 1 quadruple system is measured. Seventy-six high-quality nondetections and 15 newly resolved components are presented in our observations. The uncertainty in relative astrometry appears to be similar to our previous work at Lowell, namely, linear measurement uncertainties of approximately 2mas, and the relative photometry appears to be uncertain at the 0.1-0.15mag level. Using these measures and those in the literature, we calculate six new visual orbits, including one for the Be star 66Oph and two combined spectroscopic-visual orbits. The latter two orbits, which are for HD22451 (YSC127) and HD185501 (YSC135), yield individual masses of the components at the level of 2% or better, and independent distance measures that in one case agrees with the value found in the Gaia DR2 and in the other disagrees at the 2{sigma} level. We find that HD22451 consists of an F6V+F7V pair with orbital period of 2401.1{+/-}3.2days and masses of 1.342{+/-}0.029 and 1.236{+/-}0.026M_{sun}_. For HD185501, both stars are G5 dwarfs that orbit one another with a period of 433.94{+/-}0.15days, and the masses are 0.898{+/-}0.012 and 0.876{+/-}0.012M_{sun}_. We discuss the details of both the new discoveries and the orbit objects.

- This catalog of O and B stars contains magnitudes, colors, spectral types and polarization for 1259 stars. In addition to observations, the catalogue contains the derived absorption and distance modulus. A photoelectric photometer attached to the 82-inch (2m) reflector of the McDonald Observatory was used for the polarization observations. The photometric UBV observations were made over a period of 4 years with the 13-inch (33cm) and the 82-inch telescopes at McDonald. The spectroscopic classification was made with a new camera installed on the Cassegrain spectrograph, with a dispersion of 86{AA}/mm at H{delta}.

- This file contains magnitudes from nearly 50,000 40 second observations of the rapidly oscillating Ap star HR 1217 obtained during nearly 600 hours of observation at various observatories from 1980 to 1986. Most of the observations were made through Johnson B filters, but some were made through other filters. All data in this file were included in a paper entitled The high-overtone p-mode spectrum of the rapidly oscillating Ap star HR 1217 (HD 24712) by Kurtz et al. (1989MNRAS.240..881K) and described in the CDS Inf. Bull. (Kurtz 1989). Much of the information published in Kurtz et al. (1989) had been gathered from previously published literature, and some had been obtained by a team established for that paper. Each record holds one observation with the Heliocentric Julian Date given to 5 decimal accuracy and the magnitude given to 4 decimal accuracy. The observations are grouped so that all observations from a single night from each observatory are listed together. The data published in Kurtz et al. - Observations of the main-belt comets 238P & 288P

- We report observations of the reactivations of the main-belt comets (MBCs) 238P/Read and 288P/(300163) 2006 VW_139_ that also track the evolution of each object's activity over several months in 2016 and 2017. We additionally identify and analyze archival SDSS data showing 288P to have been active in 2000, meaning that both 238P and 288P have now each been confirmed to be active near perihelion on three separate occasions. From data obtained of 288P from 2012-2015 when it appeared inactive, we find best-fit R-band H, G phase function parameters of H_R_=16.80+/-0.12 mag and G_R_=0.18+/-0.11, corresponding to effective component radii of r_c_=0.80+/-0.04 km, assuming a binary system with equally sized components. Fitting linear functions to ejected dust masses inferred for 238P and 288P soon after their observed reactivations in 2016, we find an initial average net dust production rate of M_d_=0.7+/-0.3 kg/s and a best-fit start date of 2016 March 11 (when the object was at a true anomaly of {nu}=-63{deg}) for 238P, and an initial average net dust production rate of M_d_=5.6+/-0.7 kg/s and a best-fit start date of 2016 August 5 (when the object was at {nu}=-27{deg}) for 288P. Applying similar analyses to archival data, we find similar start points for previous active episodes for both objects, suggesting that minimal mantle growth or ice recession occurred between the active episodes in question. Some changes in dust production rates between active episodes are detected, however. More detailed dust modeling is suggested to further clarify the process of activity evolution in MBCs.
