- File table1.dat contains the photometric uvby data of the eclipsing binary hypergiant R81 (B2.5 Ia-O) of the Large Magellanic Cloud. The data have been obtained with the Danish 50 cm telescope at ESO, La Silla, and cover more than one orbital cycle of 74.59 days. File table2.dat contains radial velocity measurements of photospheric lines of this star. The spectra have been obtained simultaneously with the photometry. The Feros spectrograph at the ESO 1.52m telescope was used. The quoted radial velocities are averages over the best photospheric lines.

- WW Aurigae is a detached eclipsing binary composed of two metallic- lined A-type stars orbiting each other every 2.5 days. We have determined the masses and radii of both components to accuracies of 0.4% and 0.6%, respectively. From a cross-correlation analysis of high-resolution spectra we find masses of 1.964+/-0.007M_{sun}_ for the primary star and 1.814+/-0.007M_{sun}_ for the secondary star. From an analysis of photoelectric uvby and UBV light curves we find the radii of the stars to be 1.927+/-0.011R_{sun}_ and 1.841+/-0.011R_{sun}_, where the uncertainties have been calculated using a Monte Carlo algorithm. Fundamental effective temperatures of the two stars have been derived, using the Hipparcos parallax of WW Aur and published ultraviolet, optical and infrared fluxes, and are 7960+/-420 and 7670+/-410K. The masses, radii and effective temperatures of WW Aur are only matched by theoretical evolutionary models for a fractional initial metal abundance, Z, of approximately 0.06 and an age of roughly 90Myr. This seems to be the highest metal abundance inferred for a well-studied detached eclipsing binary, but we find no evidence that it is related to the metallic-lined nature of the stars. The circular orbit of WW Aur is in conflict with the circularization timescales of both the Tassoul and the Zahn tidal theories and we suggest that this is due to pre-main-sequence evolution or the presence of a circular orbit when the stars were formed.

- CCD differential photometry in the Stromgren u, Johnson V and Cousins I bands is presented of three hot, luminous eclipsing binary stars in the Magellanic Clouds. Observations were made between 1999 April and 2002 July using the McLellan Cassegrain 1-m telescope at MJUO in its f/7.7 configuration in conjunction with the CCD photometer head. The photometry has been extracted using the ISIS difference imaging method and is presented as normalized light.

- The orbital period variations of two W UMa-type contact binaries, UY UMa and EF Boo, are analyzed by using all available times of light minimum. It is detected that the general trends of their (O-C) curves show an upward parabolic variation, which reveals their continuous period increases at the rates of dP/dt=2.545x10^-7^days/yr and dP/dt=2.623x10^-7^days/yr respectively. Meanwhile, UY UMa also shows a cyclic period variation with a small amplitude of A=0.0026-days superposed on the long-term increase. Due to their contact configurations, the secular period increases are interpreted as a result of mass transfer from the less massive component to the more massive one. The cyclic period variation of UY UMa may be interpreted in terms of either the magnetic activity or the light time effect.

- The eclipsing binaries are still important objects for our understanding of the universe. Especially these ones located within the more complex multiple systems can help us solving the problem of their origin and subsequent evolution of these higher order multiples. Photometry and spectroscopy spanning over more than 25 yr were used for the first complete analysis of the two bright triple systems, namely V348 And and V572 Per. The light curves in photometric filters were combined together with the radial velocities and analyzed simultaneously, yielding the precise physical parameters of the eclipsing components of these multiple systems. The system V348 And consists of two eclipsing components with its orbital period of about 27.7 days. The system is a very detached one, and both eclipses are rather narrow, lasting only about 0.016 of its period. The visual orbit of the wide pair has the period of about 87 yr. All three components of the system are probably of B8-9 spectral type, and the parallax of the system was slightly shifted to the value of 2.92 mas. On the other hand, the system V572 Per shows apsidal motion of its inner orbit, the orbital period being of about 1.2 days, while the apsidal motion of about 48 yr. The components are of A and F spectral types, while the motion with the third component around a common barycenter is only negligible. According to our modeling, this system is not a member of open cluster Alpha Persei.

- Here we present the first Johnson-Cousins VR_C_ light curves of the over-contact binary star GSC 3822-1056. A period study and the light curve solution are also given. An extremely high rate of period increase +11.6sec/century was found. The origin of this period change can be: (i) partly covered light-time effect due to the orbital motion around the mass center of a possible third body; (ii) mass transfer between the components. The light curve was solved by the 1998 Wilson-Devinney Code. We examined the light curve with and without third light. Both solutions yielded a contact configuration with high temperature difference between the components. Despite the high degree of the contact (f=0.57), the temperature difference between the components {Delta}T=T_primary_-T_secondary_=1045K. The high mass-ratio of the system and its other unusual properties suggest that GSC 3822-1056 may be a recently formed contact binary.

- The Kepler spacecraft is providing time series of photometric data with micromagnitude precision for hundreds of A-F type stars. We present a first general characterization of the pulsational behaviour of A-F type stars as observed in the Kepler light curves of a sample of 750 candidate A-F type stars, and observationally investigate the relation between {gamma} Doradus ({gamma} Dor), {delta} Scuti ({delta} Sct), and hybrid stars.
