- The Bidelman-Parsons Spectroscopic and Bibliographical Catalog (BPSB; Parsons, Buta, and Bidelman 1980a, b) contains data compiled from the astronomical literature by W. P. Bidelman. These data include diverse catalogs and lists, especially from pre-1950 journals (minor as well as major), and from pre-1962 observatory publications. From more recent years, the data on any object frequently are limited to one item with a reference; for example, a spectral type. No data published after 1973 are included. Over 200 publications are represented. The BPSB has information on 40,312 objects. The catalog contains most of the same information on MK spectral types as the Catalogue of Stellar Spectra Classified in the Morgan-Keenan System (Jaschek, Conde, and de Sierra 1964) and its updates, but it also includes such items as spectral types without a luminosity class (certainly better than nothing); spectroscopic absolute magnitudes; notes on multiplicity; notes on high proper motion or radial velocity (with the values, if probably variable, or if greater than 60 km/s); unpublished remarks and spectral types from several sources, including Bidelman and Henize; and Bidelman's preliminary identifications of many sources in the Two-Micron Sky Survey (Neugebauer and Leighton 1969). Some of the longer lists included in the catalog are those of OB stars from the Tonantzintla-Tacubaya and Heidelberg-Koenigstuhl surveys (Iriarte and Chavira 1957; Chavira 1958; Klare and Szeidl 1966); that of OB stars with emission from the Case-Hamburg surveys (Hardorp et al. 1959; Stock, Nassau, and Stephenson 1960; Hardorp, Theile, and Voigt 1964; Nassau and Stephenson 1963; Hardorp, Theile, and Voigt 1965; Nassau, Stephenson, and MacConnell 1965; Stephenson and Sanduleak 1971); and stars from the General Catalogue of Variable Stars (Kukarkin et al. 1969); and the Catalogue of Suspected Variable Stars (Kukarkin et al. 1951, 1965). Although the catalog is mainly of stellar data, it includes many galactic nebulae of various kinds.

- Measurements of element abundances in galaxies from astrophysical spectroscopy depend sensitively on the atomic data used. With the goal of making the latest atomic data accessible to the community, we present a compilation of selected atomic data for resonant absorption lines at wavelengths longward of 911.753{AA} (the HI Lyman limit), for key heavy elements (heavier than atomic number 5) of astrophysical interest. In particular, we focus on the transitions of those ions that have been observed in the Milky Way interstellar medium (ISM), the circumgalactic medium (CGM) of the Milky Way and/or other galaxies, and the intergalactic medium (IGM). We provide wavelengths, oscillator strengths, associated accuracy grades, and references to the oscillator strength determinations. We also attempt to compare and assess the recent oscillator strength determinations. For about 22% of the lines that have updated oscillator strength values, the differences between the former values and the updated ones are >~0.1dex. Our compilation will be a useful resource for absorption line studies of the ISM, as well as studies of the CGM and IGM traced by sight lines to quasars and gamma-ray bursts. Studies (including those enabled by future generations of extremely large telescopes) of absorption by galaxies against the light of background galaxies will also benefit from our compilation.

- We present a statistical study of the largest bibliographic compilation of stellar and orbital parameters of W UMa stars derived by light-curve synthesis with Roche models. The compilation includes nearly 700 individually investigated objects from over 450 distinct publications. Almost 70% of this sample is comprised of stars observed in the past decade that have not been considered in previous statistical studies. We estimate the ages of the cataloged stars, model the distributions of their periods, mass ratios, temperatures, and other quantities, and compare them with the data from the Catalina Real-Time Transient Survey, LAMOST, and Gaia archives. As only a small fraction of the sample has radial-velocity curves, we examine the reliability of the photometric mass ratios in totally and partially eclipsing systems and find that totally eclipsing W UMa stars with photometric mass ratios have the same parameter distributions as those with spectroscopic mass ratios. Most of the stars with reliable parameters have mass ratios below 0.5 and orbital periods shorter than 0.5 days. Stars with longer periods and temperatures above 7000K stand out as outliers and should not be labeled W UMa binaries.

Telescop.dat describes the properties of the telescopes used for observations. Detect.dat and uprlmits.dat contain a compilation of data on galaxies that have been observed in CO. Most of the characteristics listed here are observed properties. The detected galaxies are listed first, followed by galaxies with upper limits. Upper limits are given for detected galaxies if the detection is disputed or if the limits refer to transitions or regions that have not yet been detected. Temp.dat is a comparison of the antenna temperature scales used in the references in this catalog. Maps.dat lists the coverage, resolution, observed structure of CO maps of galaxies, and notes.dat contains notes to tables.

- The "Data Inventory of Space-Based Celestial Observations Version 1.0" (DISCO) is a directory to data contained in sixteen catalogs dealing with observations from space. (Sounding rocket, solar, and planetary observations have been excluded.) The information extracted from the catalogs includes names of objects observed, 1950 equatorial coordinates, and the name of the catalog or instrument. A second file contains full references to the source catalogs and other pertinent information. The purpose of creating DISCO is (1) to unify astronomical observations from space, which are at present scattered and hard to locate, and then (2) to provide a machine-readable index to these observations, thus enabling easy access by computer. Such a directory will permit an astronomer to find out what objects have been observed from space, which spacecraft and instruments made the observations, and where to go to find the data themselves.

- Using a sample of 81 Galactic, detached eclipsing binary stars we investigated the global zero-point shift of their parallaxes with the Gaia Data Release 2 (DR2) parallaxes. The stars in the sample lay in a distance range of 0.04-2kpc from the Sun. The photometric parallaxes {omega}_Phot_ of the eclipsing binaries were determined by applying a number of empirical surface brightness-color (SBC) relations calibrated on optical-infrared colors. For each SBC relation we calculated the individual differences d{varpi}_i_=({varpi}_Gaia_-{varpi}_Phot_)_i_ and then we calculated unweighted and weighted means. As the sample covers the whole sky we interpret the weighted means as the global shifts of the Gaia DR2 parallaxes with respect to our eclipsing binary sample. Depending on the choice of the SBC relation the shifts vary from -0.094 to -0.025mas. The weighted mean of the zero-point shift from all colors and calibrations used is d{omega}=-0.054+/-0.024mas. However, the SBC relations based on (B-K) and (V-K) colors, which are the least reddening dependent and have the lowest intrinsic dispersions, give a zero-point shift of d{omega}=-0.031+/-0.011mas in full agreement with results obtained by Lindegren+ (2018A&A...616A...2L) and Arenou+ (2018A&A...616A..17A). Our result confirms the global shift of Gaia DR2 parallaxes of d{omega}=-0.029mas reported by the Gaia team, but we do not confirm the larger zero-point shift reported by a number of follow-up papers.

- We compiled a set of electron-impact multiple-ionization (EIMI) cross section for astrophysically relevant ions. EIMIs can have a significant effect on the ionization balance of non-equilibrium plasmas. For example, it can be important if there is a rapid change in the electron temperature or if there is a non-thermal electron energy distribution, such as a kappa distribution. Cross section for EIMI are needed in order to account for these processes in plasma modeling and for spectroscopic interpretation. Here, we describe our comparison of proposed semiempirical formulae to available experimental EIMI cross-section data. Based on this comparison, we interpolated and extrapolated fitting parameters to systems that have not yet been measured. A tabulation of the fit parameters is provided for 3466 EIMI cross sections and the associated Maxwellian plasma rate coefficients. We also highlight some outstanding issues that remain to be resolved.

- Massive Population II galaxies undergoing the first phase of vigorous star formation after the initial Population III stage should have high energy densities and silicate-rich interstellar dust. We have modeled the resulting far-infrared spectral energy distributions (SEDs), demonstrating that they are shifted substantially to bluer ("warmer") wavelengths relative to the best fitting ones at z~3, and with strong outputs in the 10-40{mu}m range. When combined with a low level of emission by carbon dust, their SEDs match that of Haro 11, a local moderately low-metallicity galaxy undergoing a very young and vigorous starburst that is likely to approximate the relevant conditions in young Population II galaxies. We expect to see similar SEDs at high redshifts (z>~5) given the youth of galaxies at this epoch. In fact, we find a progression with redshift in observed galaxy SEDs, from those resembling local ones at 2<~z<4 to a closer resemblance with Haro 11 at 5<~z<7. In addition to the insight on conditions in high-redshift galaxies, this result implies that estimates of the total infrared luminosities at z~6 based on measurements near {lambda}~1mm can vary by factors of 2-4, depending on the SED template used. Currently popular modified blackbodies or local templates can result in significant underestimates compared with the preferred template based on the SED of Haro 11.

- Fast radio bursts (FRBs) are short-lived (~ms), energetic transients (having a peak flux density of ~Jy) with no known prompt emission in other energy bands. We present results of a search for prompt X-ray emissions from 41 FRBs using the Cadmium Zinc Telluride Imager (CZTI) on AstroSat, which continuously monitors ~70% of the sky. Our searches on various timescales in the 20-200keV range, did not yield any counterparts in this hard X-ray band. We calculate upper limits on hard X-ray flux, in the same energy range and convert them to upper bounds for {eta}: the ratio of X-ray to radio fluence of FRBs. We find {eta}<=10^8-10^ for hard X-ray emission. Our results will help constrain the theoretical models of FRBs as the models become more quantitative and nearer, brighter FRBs are discovered.
