- We construct a SCUBA-2 450{mu}m map in the COSMOS field that covers an area of 300arcmin^2^ and reaches a 1{sigma} noise level of 0.65mJy in the deepest region. We extract 256 sources detected at 450{mu}m with signal-to-noise ratios >4.0 and analyze the physical properties of their multiwavelength counterparts. We find that most of the sources are at z<~3, with a median of z=1.79_-0.15_^+0.03^%. About 35_-25_^+32^% of our sources are classified as starburst galaxies based on their total star formation rates (SFRs) and stellar masses (M_*_). By fitting the far-infrared spectral energy distributions, we find that our 450{mu}m selected sample has a wide range of dust temperatures (20K<~T_d_<~60K), with a median of T_d_=38.3_-0.9_^+0.4^K. We do not find a redshift evolution in dust temperature for sources with L_IR_>10^12^L_{sun}_ at z<3. However, we find a moderate correlation where the dust temperature increases with the deviation from the SFR-M_*_ relation. The increase in dust temperature also correlates with optical morphology, which is consistent with merger-triggered starbursts in submillimeter galaxies. Our galaxies do not show the tight IRX-{beta}_UV_ correlation that has been observed in the local universe. We construct the infrared luminosity functions of our 450{mu}m sources and measure their comoving SFR densities (SFRDs). The contribution of the L_IR_>10^12^L_{sun}_ population to the SFRD rises dramatically from z=0 to 2 ({propto}(1+z)^3.9+/-1.1^) and dominates the total SFRD at z>~2.

- We present structural parameters and morphological properties of faint 450{mu}m selected submillimeter galaxies (SMGs) from the JCMT Large Program, STUDIES, in the COSMOS-CANDELS region. Their properties are compared to an 850{mu}m selected and a matched star-forming samples. We investigate stellar structures of 169 faint 450{mu}m sources (S_450_=2.8-29.6mJy; S/N>4) at z<3 using HST near-infrared observations. Based on our spectral energy distribution fitting, half of such faint SMGs (L_IR_=10^11.65^+/-0.98^L_{sun}_) lie above the star formation rate (SFR)/stellar mass plane. The size-mass relation shows that these SMGs are generally similar to less-luminous star-forming galaxies selected by NUV-r versus r-J colors. Because of the intrinsic luminosity of the sample, their rest-frame optical emission is less extended than the 850{mu}m sources (S_850_>2mJy) and more extended than the star-forming galaxies in the same redshift range. For the stellar mass and SFR-matched sample at z~1 and z~2, the size differences are marginal between faint SMGs and the matched galaxies. Moreover, faint SMGs have similar Sersic indices and projected axis ratios as star-forming galaxies with the same stellar mass and SFR. Both SMGs and the matched galaxies show high fractions (~70%) of disturbed features at z~2, and the fractions depend on the SFRs. These suggest that their star formation activity is related to galaxy merging and the stellar structures of SMGs are similar to those of star-forming galaxies. We show that the depths of submillimeter surveys are approaching the lower luminosity end of star-forming galaxies, allowing us to detect galaxies on the main sequence.

- The Herschel Reference Survey (HRS) is a guaranteed time Herschel key project aimed at studying the physical properties of the interstellar medium in galaxies of the nearby universe. This volume limited, K-band selected sample is composed of galaxies spanning the whole range of morphological types (from ellipticals to late-type spirals) and environments (from the field to the centre of the Virgo Cluster). We present flux density measurements of the whole sample of 323 galaxies of the HRS in the three bands of the Spectral and Photometric Imaging Receiver (SPIRE), at 250um, 350um and 500um. Aperture photometry is performed on extended galaxies and point spread function (PSF) fitting on timeline data for unresolved objects; we carefully estimate errors and upper limits. The flux densities are found to be in good agreement with those of the HeViCS and KINGFISH key projects in all SPIRE bands, and of the Planck consortium at 350um and 550um, for the galaxies in common. This submillimetre catalogue of nearby galaxies is a benchmark for the study of the dust properties in the local universe, giving the zero redshift reference for any cosmological survey.

- We present a joint analysis of the overlapping Balloon-borne Large Aperture Submillimetre Telescope (BLAST) 250, 350, 500um, and LABOCA 870um observations [from the LABOCA ECDFS Submm Survey (LESS) survey] of the Extended Chandra Deep Field-South. Out to z~3, the BLAST filters sample near the peak wavelength of thermal far-infrared (FIR) emission from galaxies (rest-frame wavelengths ~60-200um), primarily produced by dust heated through absorption in star-forming clouds. However, identifying counterparts to individual BLAST peaks is very challenging, given the large beams [full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) 36-60 arcsec]. In contrast, the ground-based 870um observations have a significantly smaller 19 arcsec FWHM beam, and are sensitive to higher redshifts (z~1-5, and potentially beyond) due to the more favourable negative K-correction. We use the LESS data, as well as deep Spitzer and VLA imaging, to identify 118 individual sources that produce significant emission in the BLAST bands.

- We present a new technique to measure multi-wavelength "super-deblended" photometry from highly confused images, which we apply to Herschel and ground-based far-infrared (FIR) and (sub-)millimeter (mm) data in the northern field of the Great Observatories Origins Deep Survey (GOODS-N). There are two key novelties. First, starting with a large database of deep Spitzer 24{mu}m and VLA 20cm detections that are used to define prior positions for fitting the FIR/submm data, we perform an active selection of useful priors independently at each frequency band, moving from less to more confused bands. Exploiting knowledge of redshift and all available photometry, we identify hopelessly faint priors that we remove from the fitting pool. This approach significantly reduces blending degeneracies and allows reliable photometry to be obtained for galaxies in FIR+mm bands. Second, we obtain well-behaved, nearly Gaussian flux density uncertainties, individually tailored to all fitted priors for each band. This is done by exploiting extensive simulations that allow us to calibrate the conversion of formal fitting uncertainties to realistic uncertainties, depending on directly measurable quantities. We achieve deeper detection limits with high fidelity measurements and uncertainties at FIR+mm bands. As an illustration of the utility of these measurements, we identify 70 galaxies with z>=3 and reliable FIR+mm detections. We present new constraints on the cosmic star formation rate density at 3<z<6, finding a significant contribution from z>=3 dusty galaxies that are missed by optical-to-near-infrared color selection. Photometric measurements for 3306 priors, including more than 1000 FIR+mm detections, are released publicly with our catalog.

- We analyze the >4{sigma} sources in the most sensitive 100arcmin^2^ area (rms<0.56mJy) of a SCUBA-2 850{mu}m survey of the GOODS-S and present the 75 band-7 ALMA sources (>4.5{sigma}) obtained from high-resolution interferometric follow-up observations. The raw SCUBA-2 >4{sigma} limit is fainter than 2.25mJy throughout this region, and deboosting corrections would lower this further. Of the 53 SCUBA-2 sources in this sample, only five have no ALMA detections, while 13% (68% confidence range 7%-19%) have multiple ALMA counterparts. Color-based high-redshift dusty galaxy selection techniques find at most 55% of the total ALMA sample. In addition to using literature spectroscopic and optical/near-infrared photometric redshifts, we estimate far infrared photometric redshifts based on an Arp 220 template. We identify seven z>~4 candidates. We see the expected decline with redshift of the 4.5 and 24{mu}m to 850{mu}m flux ratios, confirming these as good diagnostics of z>~4 candidates. We visually classify 52 ALMA sources, finding 44% (68% confidence range 35%-53%) to be apparent mergers. We calculate rest-frame 2-8keV and 8-28keV luminosities using the 7Ms Chandra X-ray image. Nearly all of the ALMA sources detected at 0.5-2keV are consistent with a known X-ray luminosity to 850{mu}m flux relation for star-forming galaxies, while most of those detected at 2-7keV are moderate-luminosity AGNs that lie just above the 2-7keV detection threshold. The latter largely have substantial obscurations of logN_H_=23-24cm^-2^, but two of the high-redshift candidates may even be Compton thick.

- We study the star-forming regions in the spiral galaxy NGC 4321 (M100). We take advantage of the spatial resolution (2.5-arcsec full width at half-maximum) of the Swift/Ultraviolet/Optical Telescope camera and the availability of three ultraviolet (UV) passbands in the region 1600<{lambda}<3000{AA}, in combination with optical and infrared (IR) imaging from Sloan Digital Sky Survey, KPNO/H{alpha} and Spitzer/IRAC, to obtain a catalogue of 787 star-forming regions out to three disc scalelengths. We use a large volume of star formation histories, combined with stellar population synthesis, to determine the properties of the young stellar component and its relationship with the spiral arms.

- There is growing evidence that some star-forming galaxies at z>1 are characterized by high efficiencies and specific star formation rates. In the local universe, these traits are shared by "active" blue compact dwarf galaxies (BCDs) with compact and dense star-forming regions. The spectral energy distributions (SEDs) of these BCDs are dominated by young massive star clusters, embedded in a cocoon of dust. In this Letter, we incorporate these BCD SEDs as templates for two samples of high-redshift galaxy populations selected at submillimeter wavelengths.

- We present a new catalogue of ALMA observations, the ALMA Calibrator Catalogue (ACC), collecting 3361 bright, compact radio sources, mostly blazars, used as calibrators. These sources were observed between 2011 May and 2018 July, for a total of 47115 pointings in different bands and epochs. A search in the online data bases yielded redshift measurements for 2245 sources.

- We present a catalog of emissive point sources detected in the SPT-SZ survey, a contiguous 2530 square degree area surveyed with the South Pole Telescope (SPT) from 2008-2011 in three bands centered at 95, 150, and 220GHz. The catalog contains 4845 sources measured at a significance of 4.5{sigma} or greater in at least one band, corresponding to detections above approximately 9.8, 5.8, and 20.4mJy in 95, 150, and 220GHz, respectively. The spectral behavior in the SPT bands is used for source classification into two populations based on the underlying physical mechanisms of compact, emissive sources that are bright at millimeter wavelengths: synchrotron radiation from active galactic nuclei and thermal emission from dust. The latter population includes a component of high-redshift sources often referred to as submillimeter galaxies (SMGs). In the relatively bright flux ranges probed by the survey, these sources are expected to be magnified by strong gravitational lensing. The survey also contains sources consistent with protoclusters, groups of dusty galaxies at high redshift undergoing collapse. We cross-match the SPT-SZ catalog with external catalogs at radio, infrared, and X-ray wavelengths and identify available redshift information. The catalog splits into 3980 synchrotron-dominated and 865 dust-dominated sources, and we determine a list of 506 SMGs. Ten sources in the catalog are identified as stars. We calculate number counts for the full catalog, and synchrotron and dusty components, using a bootstrap method and compare our measured counts with models. This paper represents the third and final catalog of point sources in the SPT-SZ survey.
