- A complete flux-limited sample of 50 galaxies is presented having f{nu}(24um)>10mJy, chosen from a survey with MIPS on Spitzer of 8.2deg^2^ in the NOAO Deep Wide-Field Survey (NDWFS) region in Bootes. Spectra obtained with the low-resolution modules of IRS on Spitzer are described for 36 galaxies in this sample; 25 show strong PAH emission features characteristic of starbursts, and 11 show silicate absorption or emission, emission lines, or featureless spectra characteristic of AGNs. Infrared or optical spectral classifications are available for 48 of the entire sample of 50; 33 galaxies are classified as starbursts and 15 as AGNs.

- We discuss the combined IRAC/MIPS c2d Spitzer Legacy observations of the Serpens star-forming region. We describe criteria for isolating bona fide YSOs from the extensive background of extragalactic objects. We then discuss the properties of the resulting high-confidence set of 235 YSOs. An additional 51 lower confidence YSOs outside this area are identified from the MIPS data and 2MASS photometry. We present color-color diagrams to compare our observed source properties with those of theoretical models for star/disk/envelope systems and our own modeling of the objects that are well represented by a stellar photosphere plus circumstellar disk.

- We present Spitzer-IRAC and MIPS mid-IR observations of a sample of 76 radio-detected submillimeter-selected galaxies (SMGs) with spectroscopic redshifts, the largest such sample published to date. From our data, we find that IRAC colors of SMGs are much more uniform as compared with rest-frame UV and optical colors, and z>1.5 SMGs tend to be redder in their mid-IR colors than both field galaxies and lower-z SMGs. However, the IRAC colors of the SMGs overlap those of field galaxies sufficiently that color-magnitude and color-color selection criteria suggested in the literature to identify SMG counterparts produce ambiguous counterparts within an 8" radius in 20%-35% of cases. We use a rest-frame J-H versus H-K color-color diagram and a S24/S8.0 versus S8.0/S4.5 color-color diagram to determine that 13%-19% of our sample are likely to contain active galactic nuclei which dominate their mid-IR emission.

- This paper describes new deep 3.6 and 4.5{mu}m imaging of three UltraVISTA near-infrared survey stripes within the COSMOS field. The observations were carried out with Spitzer's Infrared Array Camera (IRAC) for the Spitzer Matching Survey of the UltraVISTA Deep Stripes (SMUVS). In this work we present our data reduction techniques, and document the resulting mosaics, coverage maps, and catalogs in both IRAC passbands for the three easternmost UltraVISTA survey stripes, covering a combined area of about 0.66deg^2^, of which 0.45deg^2^ have at least 20hr of integration time. SMUVS reaches point-source sensitivities of about 25.0 AB mag (0.13{mu}Jy) at both 3.6 and 4.5{mu}m, with a significance of 4{sigma}, accounting for both survey sensitivity and source confusion. To this limit the SMUVS catalogs contain a total of ~350,000 sources, each of which is detected significantly in at least one IRAC band. Because of its uniform and high sensitivity, relatively large area coverage, and the wide array of ancillary data available in COSMOS, the SMUVS survey will be useful for a large number of cosmological investigations.

- The Spitzer South Pole Telescope Deep Field (SSDF) is a wide-area survey using Spitzer's Infrared Array Camera (IRAC) to cover 94deg^2^ of extragalactic sky, making it the largest IRAC survey completed to date outside the Milky Way midplane. The SSDF is centered at ({alpha},{delta})=(23:30, -55:00), in a region that combines observations spanning a broad wavelength range from numerous facilities. These include millimeter imaging from the South Pole Telescope (SPT), far-infrared observations from Herschel/SPIRE, X-ray observations from the XMM XXL survey, near-infrared observations from the VISTA Hemisphere Survey, and radio-wavelength imaging from the Australia Telescope Compact Array, in a panchromatic project designed to address major outstanding questions surrounding galaxy clusters and the baryon budget. Here we describe the Spitzer/IRAC observations of the SSDF, including the survey design, observations, processing, source extraction, and publicly available data products. In particular, we present two band-merged catalogs, one for each of the two warm IRAC selection bands. They contain roughly 5.5 and 3.7 million distinct sources, the vast majority of which are galaxies, down to the SSDF 5{sigma} sensitivity limits of 19.0 and 18.2 Vega mag (7.0 and 9.4uJy) at 3.6 and 4.5um, respectively.

- This paper reports a study of the effect of a bar on the neutral hydrogen (HI) content of starburst and Seyfert galaxies. We also make comparisons with a sample of "normal" galaxies and investigate how well starburst and Seyfert galaxies follow the fundamental scaling Tully-Fisher (TF) relation defined for normal galaxies. 111 Markarian (Mrk) IRAS galaxies were observed with the Nancay radiotelescope, and HI data were obtained for 80 galaxies, of which 64 are new detections. We determined the (20 and 50%) linewidths, the maximum velocity of rotation and total HI flux for each galaxy. These measurements are complemented by data from the literature to form a sample of Mrk IRAS (74% starburst, 23% Seyfert and 3% unknown) galaxies containing 105 unbarred and 113 barred ones. Barred galaxies have lower total and bias-corrected HI masses than unbarred galaxies, and this is true for both Mrk IRAS and normal galaxies. This robust result suggests that bars funnel the HI gas toward the center of the galaxy where it becomes molecular before forming new stars. The Mrk IRAS galaxies have higher bias-corrected HI masses than normal galaxies. They also show significant departures from the TF relation, both in the B and K bands. The most deviant points from the TF relation tend to have a strong far-infrared luminosity and a low oxygen abundance. These results suggest that a fraction of our Mrk IRAS galaxies are still in the process of formation, and that their neutral HI gas, partly of external origin, has not yet reached a stationary state.

- A summary of starburst luminosities based on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) features is given for 243 starburst galaxies with 0<z<2.5, observed with the Spitzer Infrared Spectrograph. Luminosity {nu}L_{nu}_(7.7um) for the peak luminosity of the 7.7um PAH emission feature is found to scale as log[{nu}L_{nu}_(7.7{mu}m)]=44.63(+/-0.09)+2.48(+/-0.28)log(1+z) for the most luminous starbursts observed. Empirical calibrations of {nu}L_{nu}_(7.7um) are used to determine bolometric luminosity L_IR_ and the star formation rate (SFR) for these starbursts. The most luminous starbursts found in this sample have logL_IR_=45.4(+/-0.3)+2.5(+/-0.3)log(1+z), in ergs/s, and the maximum star formation rates for starbursts in units of M_{sun}_/yr are log(SFR)=2.1(+/-0.3)+2.5(+/-0.3)log(1+z), up to z=2.5. The exponent for pure luminosity evolution agrees with optical and radio studies of starbursts but is flatter than previous results based in infrared source counts. The maximum star formation rates are similar to the maxima determined for submillimeter galaxies; the most luminous individual starburst included within the sample has logL_IR_=46.9, which gives an SFR=3.4x10^3^M_{sun}/yr. Description: In this paper, we assemble data from 14 different Spitzer/IRS (InfraRed Spectrograph) programs (listed in "Ref" column of table1) to summarize a wide variety of sources having strong PAH spectral features, providing a total of 243 sources.

- We present deep near-infrared images of the Antennae galaxies, taken with the Palomar Wide-Field Infrared Camera (WIRC). The images cover a 4.33'x4'33' (24.7x24.7kpc) area around the galaxy interaction zone. We derive J- and K_s_-band photometric fluxes for 172 infrared star clusters and discuss details of the two galactic nuclei and the overlap region.

- Star formation is arguably the most important physical process in the cosmos. It is a fundamental driver of galaxy evolution and the ultimate source of most of the energy emitted by galaxies. A correct interpretation of star formation rate (SFR) measures is therefore essential to our understanding of galaxy formation and evolution. Unfortunately, however, no single SFR estimator is universally available or even applicable in all circumstances: the numerous galaxies found in deep surveys are often too faint (or too distant) to yield significant detections with most standard SFR measures, and until now there have been no global, multi-band observations of nearby galaxies that span all the conditions under which star-formation is taking place. To address this need in a systematic way, we have undertaken a multi-band survey of all types of star-forming galaxies in the local Universe. This project, the Star Formation Reference Survey (SFRS), is based on a statistically valid sample of 369 nearby galaxies that span all existing combinations of dust temperature, SFR, and specific SFR. Furthermore, because the SFRS is blind with respect to AGN fraction and environment it serves as a means to assess the influence of these factors on SFR. Our panchromatic global flux measurements (including GALEX FUV+NUV, SDSS ugriz, 2MASS JHKs, Spitzer 3-8um, and others) furnish uniform SFR measures and the context in which their reliability can be assessed. This paper describes the SFRS survey strategy, defines the sample, and presents the multi-band photometry collected to date.
