- We present a collection of more than 4000 UBVRI and uvby differential photometric measurements of the newly-discovered 12th-magnitude southern Delta Scuti star GSC 08613-02122. The star has a main pulsation period of about 4 hours with an amplitude of 0.05m in the V band. The pulsation amplitude is variable, and the O-C diagram reveals the existence of a long P~29.5-day cycle, which possibly results from the beating of the main pulsation frequency with a nearby frequency.

- Updated uvby observations for a larger sample of metal-deficient red giants are presented and combined with a select sample of data from the literature transformed to a common system. Using the reddening maps of Burstein & Heiles [AJ, 87, 1165 (1982)], new absolute magnitudes, distances, metallicities, and reddenings are derived for each star. The metallicities are determined with a revised calibration of the m1, (b-y) diagram based upon comparison to a compilation of recent spectroscopic abundances transformed to a common system. The photometric abundances agree very well with the spectroscopic; the dispersion among the residuals for 58 giants is +/-0.16dex. The dereddened indices are used to show that for red giants with [Fe/H]<-1.5, there is a well-defined relation in the c0, (b-y)0 diagram which exhibits only a weak dependence upon metallicity. Use of the standard relations allows one to obtain reddening estimates for normal halo field giants and globular clusters in the appropriate metallicity range.

- Table 2 contains 408 simultaneous measurements collected in each of the four uvby colours of the Stromgren photometric system for the W UMa system HD 163151. The data are magnitude differences (Du, Dv, Db, Dy, D(b-y), Dm1, Dc1) of the variable star minus comparison star in the standard system versus Heliocentric Julian Day. Tables 3, 4 and 5 are the same, but for H{beta} (65 points), Johnson B data (212 points) and Johnson V data (355 points). The comparison star is HD 166095. The origin in time is the Julian Day 2449858. The observations were carried out (by E. Rodriguez, A. Claret, J.M. Garcia, F.M. Zerbi, R. Garrido, S. Martin, C. Akan, K. Luedeke, V. Keskin, C. Ibanoglu, S. Evren, Z. Tunca, R. Pekunlu, M. Paparo, J. Nuspl, K. Krisciunas and S.Y. Jiang) in 1995 during the course of a multisite campaign. The following telescopes were used: 90cm telescope of the Sierra Nevada Observatory, Spain (uvby-H{beta} photometry); 50cm telescope at the Ege University Observatory, Turkey (BV-uvby); 50cm telescope at Piszkesteto mountain station, Konkoly Observatory, Hungary (BV); 50cm telescope at the Merate Observatory, Italy (V); 30cm telescope at Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA (V) and 15cm telescope at Mauna Kea, Hawaii, USA (V).

- As part of the Transit Ephemeris Refinement and Monitoring Survey, we present new radial velocities and photometry of the HD 192263 system. Our analysis of the already available Keck-HIRES and CORALIE radial velocity measurements together with the five new Keck measurements we report in this paper results in improved orbital parameters for the system. We derive constraints on the size and phase location of the transit window for HD 192263b, a Jupiter-mass planet with a period of 24.3587+/-0.0022 days. We use 10 years of Automated Photoelectric Telescope photometry to analyze the stellar variability and search for planetary transits. We find continuing evidence of spot activity with periods near 23.4 days. The shape of the corresponding photometric variations changes over time, giving rise to not one but several Fourier peaks near this value. However, none of these frequencies coincides with the planet's orbital period and thus we find no evidence of star-planet interactions in the system. We attribute the ~23 day variability to stellar rotation. There are also indications of spot variations on longer (8 years) timescales. Finally, we use the photometric data to exclude transits for a planet with the predicted radius of 1.09R_J_, and as small as 0.79R_J_.

- We present spectroscopic and photometric observations of the star HD 173977. It appears that the star is part of a double line binary system, with a period of 1.801d, corresponding to twice the period of the photometric variations. Hence the star is an ellipsoidal variable. The system is probably synchronized. The physical parameters of both components were derived through two independent methods, one based on evolutionary tracks, the other being the result of the behaviour of light curves in a close binary system. After removing the ellipsoidal variations, 3 frequencies are detected in the photometric data: 8.56, 14.51 and 16.42d^-1^, while 2 additional frequencies are also possible: 10.96 and 12.11d^-1^. In accordance with its position in the HR diagram, the primary component of HD 173977 should be considered as a delta Scuti star and no longer as a gamma Doradus star. In addition, HD 173844, used as a check star, is discovered variable with a 15.79d^-1^ frequency and is classified as a delta Scuti star.

- The existence of a significant population of Ap stars with very long rotation periods (up to several hundred years) has progressively emerged over the past two decades. However, only lower limits of the periods are known for most of them because their variations have not yet been observed over a sufficient timebase. We determine the rotation period of the slowly rotating Ap star HD 18078 and we derive constraints on the geometrical structure of its magnetic field. We combine measurements of the mean magnetic field modulus obtained from 1990 to 1997 with determinations of the mean longitudinal magnetic field spanning the 1999-2007 time interval to derive an unambiguous value of the rotation period. We show that this value is consistent with photometric variations recorded in the Stromgren uvby photometric system between 1995 and 2004. We fit the variations of the two above-mentioned field moments with a simple model to constrain the magnetic structure.

- Differential Stroemgren uvby observations from the Four College Automated Photoelectric Telescope (FCAPT) are presented for the mCP stars HD 142070, HR 6967, and HR 8434 and the CP star HR 5341. The latter star is found to be constant. Improved periods were derived for HD 142070, 3.37189d, HR 6967, 3.91227d, and HR 8434, 1.43237d. Further observations of HD 142070 are needed to phase the magnetic data with the photometry, of HR 6967 to settle minor discrepancies between y and scaled Geneva V photometry, and of HR 8434 to resolve small discrepancies between two uvby photometric data sets.

- Using high-resolution imaging with the Hubble Space Telescope, we study the Large Magellanic Cloud 2 region N160A and uncover several striking features of this complex massive star-forming site. The two compact high excitation 2 blobs (HEBs) A1 and A2 are for the first time resolved and their stellar content and morphology is revealed. A1, being of higher excitation, is powered by a single massive star whose strong wind has created a surrounding bubble. A2 harbors several exciting stars enshrouded by large quantities of dust. The whole N160A nebula is energized by three star clusters for which we obtain photometry and study their color-magnitude diagram. The 2 region is particularly dusty, with extinction values reaching an A_V_~2.5mag in the visible, and it is separated from the molecular cloud by an outstanding ionization front. A previously detected infrared young stellar object is also accurately located with respect to the 2 region (N160A).

- New accurate CCD photometry in the u, v, b and y bands of the Stroemgren system filters has been obtained for 17640 stars to approximately. V=20mag in a approximately 21' x 21' field centered on the intermediate-age open cluster IC 4651. The observations was obtained with the Danish 1.5-m telescope at the European Southern Observatory, La Silla, Chile. Table 1 contains information about the Date, Night, Filter, Exposure time, Airmass, CCD rotation angle, and RA- , DE-offsets for all 89 frames. Table 2 gives cross-references between the MEI-system (this paper) and the Lindoff (1972A&AS....7..231L, IC 4651 NNN), Eggen (1971ApJ...166...87E, Cl* IC 4651 Egg NN), Anthony-Twarog & Twarog (1987AJ.....94.1222A, Cl* IC 4651 AT 1-NNN, Cl* IC 4651 AT 2-NN), and Anthony-Twarog et al. (1988AJ.....95.1453A, Cl* IC 4651 AMC I-NNN, Cl* IC 4651 AMC NNNN) identification numbers. Table 3 is the final catalogue of the new Stroemgren uvby photometry, ordered by MEI identification number. For each star, it gives the MEI number, Global CCD x- and y-coordinates, J2000 coordinates , the new y, b, v, and u magnitudes on the standard system, number of detections of the individual stars, and their mean errors.

- We present new Johnson and Stromgren photometric observations of the delta Scuti type variable star V784 Cassiopeae. The data were obtained in three consecutive years between 1999 and 2001. The bulk of the measurements was made at the Sierra Nevada Observatory (Spain) with the 0.9m telescope equipped with a four-channel spectrograph photometer. UBV data were taken with the 0.4m telescope of Szeged Observatory (Hungary).
