- We present spectra of 36 nearby star candidates and 3 red giant candidates, identified in the DENIS database. 32 of the dwarf candidates are nearby red dwarfs, with spectral types from M5.5 to M8.5. Out of 11 targets with low proper motion (mu<0.1arcsec/yr) but a Reduced Proper Motion above an inclusive threshold, 9 are red dwarfs. The 4 contaminants are all reddened F-K main sequence stars, and could have been eliminated by checking for small well-known high latitude molecular clouds. These stars might be of interest as probes of interstellar absorption. For the red dwarfs we derive spectral types and spectroscopic distances, using a new calibration of the PC3 spectral index to absolute magnitudes in the I, J, H and K photometric bands. We confirm 2 new members of the 12 pc volume (2 new M8.5), and one M7.5 NLTT object closer than 10pc; and show that one quarter of the stars with photometric distances under 30pc have too small a proper motion for inclusion in the NLTT catalog.

- We present a catalogue of new spectral types for hot, luminous stars in the Small Magellanic Cloud. The catalogue contains 4161 objects, giving an order of magnitude increase in the number of SMC stars with published spectroscopic classifications. The targets are primarily B- and A-type stars (2862 and 853 objects respectively), with 1 Wolf-Rayet, 139 O-type, and 306 FG stars, sampling the main sequence to ~mid-B. The selection and classification criteria are described, and objects of particular interest are discussed, including UV-selected targets from the Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (UIT) experiment, Be and B[e] stars, `anomalous A supergiants', and composite-spectrum systems. We examine the incidence of Balmer-line emission, and the relationship between H-gamma equivalent width and absolute magnitude for BA stars.

- We derived the intermediate-mass (=~1.5-7M_{sun}_) disc fraction (IMDF) in the near-infrared JHK photometric bands as well as in the mid-infrared (MIR) bands for young clusters in the age range of 0 to ~10Myr. From the JHK IMDF, the lifetime of the innermost dust disc (~0.3au; hereafter the K disc) is estimated to be ~3Myr, suggesting a stellar mass (M*) dependence of K-disc lifetime (=~1.5-7M_{sun}_). However, from the MIR IMDF, the lifetime of the inner disc (~5au; hereafter the MIR disc) is estimated to be ~6.5Myr, suggesting a very weak stellar mass dependence (M*). The much shorter K-disc lifetime compared to the MIR-disc lifetime for intermediate-mass (IM) stars suggests that IM stars with transition discs, which have only MIR excess emission but no K-band excess emission, are more common than classical Herbig Ae/Be stars, which exhibit both. We suggest that this prominent early disappearance of the K disc for IM stars is due to dust settling/growth in the protoplanetary disc, and it could be one of the major reasons for the paucity of close-in planets around IM stars.

- A 10th list of late-type M and C stars found on plates of the First Byurakan Spectral Sky Survey in the -11{deg}<{delta}<-7{deg} belt within area of about 1070{deg}^2^ is given. The list contains data on 169 red stars, 117 of which were found for the first time: 8 are new C stars, 3 are C-star candidates, 104 are M stars, 1 is either an M or an S star, and 1 object on the survey plate cannot be classified; of the 117 objects, 47 are unidentified IRAS sources. A statistical analysis of the objects that are and are not identified with IRAS sources shows that the identified stars are, with a high probability, brighter and have relatively more massive envelopes. Two stars were found to have fairly large brightness variability (with an amplitude of at least 6.0mag). Gas-dust shells are assumed to exist around nine of the IRAS sources. The equatorial coordinates, spectral types, and stellar magnitudes, determined on Palomar E maps, are given for the selected objects.

- We present an atlas of stellar sight line data from the Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer (FUSE) satellite for 287 stars in the Magellanic Clouds, obtained from eight years of satellite operations. The intent of our project is to make this rich ensemble data set accessible to a broad community of researchers in a standardized format that will enable easy identification of subsets of these data that are appropriate for pursuing specific science programs. We present the data in a standardized manner, showing key interstellar lines on a velocity scale, optical (MCELS) and infrared (Spitzer) sight line context images, and overview plots of the spectral region containing the OVI {lambda}{lambda}1032, 1038 doublet, and the entire 905-1187{AA} spectral range observed with FUSE. Objects with multiple observations have had their data summed to directly provide the highest signal-to-noise ratio available. These data are accessible online as a High Level Science Product through the Multimission Archive at Space Telescope (MAST). In this article, we describe the data sets and processing, the atlas materials, and the MAST interface in detail, and also provide examples of how to use these materials.

- Based on published sources, we have created a kinematic database on 220 massive (>10M_{sun}_) young Galactic star systems located within <3 kpcof the Sun. Out of them, approximately 100 objects are spectroscopic binary and multiple star systems whose components are massive OB stars; the remaining objects are massive Hipparcos B stars with parallax errors of no more than 10 percent. Based on the entire sample, we have constructed the Galactic rotation curve, determined the circular rotation velocity of the solar neighborhood around the Galactic center R_0_=8kpc, V_0_=259+/-16km/s, and obtained the following spiral density wave parameters: the amplitudes of the radial and azimuthal velocity perturbations f_R_=-10.8+/-1.2km/s, and f_{theta}_=7.9+/-1.3km/s, respectively; the pitch angle for a two-armed spiral pattern i=-6.0+/-0.4deg, with the wavelength of the spiral density wave near the Sun being {lambda}=2.6+/-0.2kpc; and the radial phase of the Sun in the spiral density wave {chi}_{sun}_=-120+/-4{deg}. We show that such peculiarities of the Gould Belt as the local expansion of the system, the velocity ellipsoid vertex deviation, and the significant additional rotation can be explained in terms of the density wave theory. All these effects decrease noticeably once the influence of the spiral density wave on the velocities of nearby stars has been taken into account. The influence of Gould Belt stars on the Galactic parameter estimates has also been revealed. Eliminating them from the kinematic equations has led to the following new values of the spiral density wave parameters: f_{theta}_=2.9+/-2.1km/s and {chi}_{sun}_=-104+/-6{deg}.

- We have produced a catalog of 378 Galactic O stars with accurate spectral classifications that is complete for V<8 but includes many fainter stars. The catalog provides cross-identifications with other sources; coordinates (obtained in most cases from Tycho-2 data); astrometric distances for 24 of the nearest stars; optical (Tycho-2, Johnson, and Stroemgren) and NIR photometry; group membership, runaway character, and multiplicity information; and a Web-based version with links to on-line services.

- This catalog is the result of combining the spectral types in 2011ApJS..193...24S (Paper I) and 2014ApJS..211...10S (Paper II), the first two major papers of the Galactic O-Star Spectroscopic Survey (GOSSS). Together they constitute Data Release 1.1 of the survey and they supersede the previous 1.0 release from June 2013. Most of the spectral types for northern ({delta}>-20{deg}) stars are from Paper I and all of the spectral types for southern ({delta}<-20{deg}) stars are from Paper II. However, for some northern stars the spectral type is from Paper II.
