They also contain observations of the solar system objects: Mars, Callisto, Saturn, Titan, Iapetus, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and many minor planets. Typical mean errors for an entry are 0.1arcsec in position, 3mas/yr in proper motion, and 0.05mag in magnitude. The stars observed belong to a large number of observing programmes typically dealing with the reference frame or with galactic kinematics. The Carlsberg Automatic Meridian Circle on La Palma is operated by Copenhagen University Observatory, Royal Greenwich Observatory, and Real Instituto y Observatorio de la Armada at the Observatory del Roque de los Muchachos of the Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias. For a detailed introduction, please refer to the printed catalogue. A description of the programme may also be found in the 1993 paper by Fabricius (=1993BICDS..42....5F), from which the present description is derived. This 8th volume corresponds to observations made between August 1992 and December 1993.

We separate the emission into four spectrally distinct classes: Si-dominated, Fe-dominated, low-energy-enhanced, and continuum-dominated. - The database of stars with high-proper motions (more than 0.04"/year) has been compiled using original definitions from catalogue FONAK1.0, the data of catalogues Hipparcos, Tycho-2, CMC (STAR 11), PPM, NPM1, NLTT,GCVS, Lowell Proper Motion, Bruce Proper Motion as well as the data of about 725 other published sources. The list consist of 251000 such stars with limiting magnitude 16 (companions for multiple systems up to 17) in a declination zone from -2 to +90 degrees. Besides astrometric parameters (equatorial coordinates, proper motions, estimations of stars magnitudes) the database includes some astrophysical characteristics (magnitudes in UBVRI system, radial velocities, spectra, luminosity class, metallicity; flags of multiple system, of variable star and other). For convenience of usage original numbers of stars from different catalogues the author's lists of stars and basic sources are given too. At present the database includes codes of 56 catalogues and author's lists of stars. The cross index list is given by a file of 228397 stars arranged by right ascension. Star information is recorded in a digital integer form with one line. Thus maximum amount of star numbers from catalogues and author's lists does not exceed 10 (if more, the number of lines for star is increased by unit).

- In preparation for the upcoming all-sky data releases of the Gaia mission we compiled a catalog of known hot subdwarf stars and candidates drawn from the literature and yet unpublished databases. By matching this catalog with astrometric and photometric data from the Gaia mission, we will develop selection criteria to construct a homogeneous, magnitude-limited all-sky catalog of hot subdwarf stars based on Gaia data.

- In this paper we analyze a sample of metal-rich (>-0.8dex) main sequence stars in the extended solar neighborhood, investigating kinematic outliers from the background population. The data, which are taken from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, are kinematically profiled as a function of distance from the Galactic plane using full six-dimensional phase space information. Each star is examined in the context of these kinematic profiles and likelihoods are assigned to quantify whether a star matches the underlying profile. Since some of these stars are likely to have been ejected from the disk, we trace back their orbits in order to determine potential ejection radii. We find that objects with low probability (i.e., "outliers") are typically more metal-poor, faster and, most importantly, have a tendency to originate from the inner Galaxy compared to the underlying population. We also compose a sample of stars with velocities exceeding the local escape velocity. Although we do not discount that our sample could be contaminated by objects with spurious proper motions, a number of stars appear to have been ejected from the disk with exceptionally high velocities. Some of these are consistent with being ejected from the spiral arms and hence are a rich resource for further study. Finally we look at objects whose orbits are consistent with them being ejected at high speeds from the Galactic center. Of these objects we find that one, J135855.65+552538.19, is inconsistent with halo, bulge and disk kinematics and could plausibly have been ejected from the Galactic nucleus via a Hills mechanism.

- We develop a template-fit method to automatically identify and classify late-type K and M dwarfs in spectra from the Large Sky Area Multi-object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST). A search of the commissioning data, acquired in 2009-2010, yields the identification of 2612 late-K and M dwarfs. The template fit method also provides spectral classification to half a subtype, classifies the stars along the dwarf-subdwarf (dM/sdM/esdM/usdM) metallicity sequence, and provides improved metallicity/gravity information on a finer scale. The automated search and classification is performed using a set of cool star templates assembled from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey spectroscopic database. We show that the stars can be efficiently classified despite shortcomings in the LAMOST commissioning data which include bright sky lines in the red. In particular we find that the absolute and relative strengths of the critical TiO and CaH molecular bands around 7000{AA} are cleanly measured, which provides accurate spectral typing from late-K to mid-M, and makes it possible to estimate metallicity classes in a way that is more efficient and reliable than with the use of spectral indices or spectral-index based parameters such as {zeta}_TiO/CaH_. Most of the cool dwarfs observed by LAMOST are found to be metal-rich dwarfs (dM). However, we identify 52 metal-poor M subdwarfs (sdM), 5 very metal-poor extreme subdwarfs (esdM) and 1 probable ultra metal-poor subdwarf (usdM). We use a calibration of spectral type to absolute magnitude and estimate spectroscopic distances for all the stars; we also recover proper motions from the SUPERBLINK and PPMXL catalogs. Our analysis of the estimated transverse motions suggests a mean velocity and standard deviation for the UVW components of velocity to be: <U>=-9.8km/s, {sigma}_U_=35.6km/s; <V> =-22.8km/s, {sigma}_V_=30.6km/s; <W> =-7.9km/s, {sigma}_W_=28.4km/s. The resulting values are in general agreement with previous reported results, which yields confidence in our spectral classification and spectroscopic distance estimates, and illustrates the potential for using LAMOST spectra of K and M dwarfs for investigating the chemo-kinematics of the local Galactic disk and halo.

- We present a catalog of 9888 M, L and T dwarfs detected in the Pan-STARRS1 3{pi} Survey (PS1), covering three-quarters of the sky. Our catalog contains nearly all known objects of spectral types L0-T2 in the PS1 field, with objects as early as M0 and as late as T9, and includes PS1, 2MASS, AllWISE, and Gaia DR1 photometry. We analyze the different types of photometry reported by PS1 and use two types in our catalog in order to maximize both depth and accuracy. Using parallaxes from the literature, we construct empirical SEDs for field ultracool dwarfs spanning 0.5-12{mu}m. We determine typical colors of M0-T9 dwarfs and highlight the distinctive colors of subdwarfs and young objects. We combine astrometry from PS1, 2MASS, and Gaia DR1 to calculate new proper motions for our catalog. We achieve a median precision of 2.9mas/yr, a factor of ~3-10 improvement over previous large catalogs. Our catalog contains proper motions for 2405 M6-T9 dwarfs and includes the largest set of homogeneous proper motions for L and T dwarfs published to date, 406 objects for which there were no previous measurements, and 1176 objects for which we improve upon previous literature values. We analyze the kinematics of ultracool dwarfs in our catalog and find evidence that bluer but otherwise generic late-M and L field dwarfs (i.e., not subdwarfs) tend to have tangential velocities higher than those of typical field objects. With the public release of the PS1 data, this survey will continue to be an essential tool for characterizing the ultracool dwarf population.

- The U.S. Naval Observatory Catalog of Positions of Infrared Stellar Sources (CPIRSS) was originally compiled in 1994 to provide astrometry at the sub-arcsecond level for many of the point sources in the 1987 version of the IRAS Point Source Catalog (NASA RP-1190). This was accomplished by the identification of IRAS sources with bright optical stars, checked by requiring the color V-[12] (with [12] being a magnitude derived from the IRAS flux) to be consistent with the optical colors or spectral type. Additionally, the K magnitude (2.2 microns) has been estimated. This version, completed in 2001, contains 37,700 stars and includes the Hipparcos and Tycho-2 astrometry and photometry which was unavailable at the time of the original compilation.
