Description:
CSIRO, Australia's national science agency, operates a number of world-class radio astronomy observatories that are collectively known as the Australia Telescope National Facility or ATNF. The facility offers a powerful view of the southern hemisphere radio spectrum and supports world-leading research by Australian and international astronomers. CSIRO also manages the Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory, where the Square Kilometre Array telescope infrastructure in Australia is to be centred.
The principal research topics of the GEPI (Galaxy - Star - Physics - Instrumentation) Laboratory are the formation and evolution of stars in our Galaxy as well as in numerous other galaxies, which constitute the luminous matter (baryonic matter) component of the Universe. This research calls upon many disciplines, from chemistry to physics, from instrumentation to data-processing engineering, and from project management to financial management within an international framework.
The IMCCE is a research institute of the Paris Observatory, associated with the CNRS (UMR8028), whose work concerns mainly the dynamic and planetologic studies of the bodies of the solar system and of the terrestrial environment: planets, natural satellites, asteroids, comets, meteoroids and space debris. The IMCCE, through its VO Solar System Portal, places at the disposal of the Virtual observatory its knowledge and its expertise which concern the dynamics and the physics of the bodies of the solar system through databases, ephemeris computation services, tools of simulation, and numerical computation services fully compliant with the interoperability concept of the Virtual Observatory.
The IAA is an institute of Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) in Granada - Andalucía. The activities of the IAA (CSIC) are related to research in the field of Astrophysics and the development of instruments for telescopes and space vehicles. The IAA has made it a general scientific objective to help increase the bulk of knowledge about our universe, from the closest at hand, our solar system, to an overall scale of the entire universe, improving descriptions and analysing the physical processes that take place there. The nature of this aim demands a multi-disciplinary approach, requiring a combination of theory, observation and technology in different areas of physics and engineering. Although the IAA is a centre for pursuing basic science, we are aware of the role that astrophysics plays as a user and producer of new technologies.

Description:
LAEFF (Laboratory for Space Astrophysics and Theoretical Physics) was founded in 1991 as a collaboration between INTA, CSIC and ESA, and was located at VILSPA to allow for closer interaction with the ESA astronomical activities (IUE, ISO, XMM,...). Research at LAEFF is carried out in different areas of astrophysics, as astroparticle physics, interstellar medium, brown dwarfs and solar, stellar and extragalactic physics. LAEFF is also responsible for the radio astronomical use of the antennas in the Robledo de Chavela station. LAEFF participates in the development of diferent space projects such as OMC-INTEGRAL, EURD, LEGRI and EDDINGTON. LAEFF is also involved in the development and maintenance of Astronomical Data Archives of space missions (INES, OMC) and ground-based telescopes (GAUDI) in the framework of the Virtual Observatory project.
The NExScI is a science operations and analysis service organization for NASA Exoplanet Exploration Program projects and the scientists and engineers that use them. The NExScI facilitates the timely and successful execution of exoplanet science by providing software infrastructure, science operations, and consulting to Exoplanet Exploration Program projects and their user communities.
NCI hosts several astronomy data archives and maintains interfaces and services which make this data available publicly. Some of these services conform to IVOA Virtual Observatory specifications and standards.
NAO is one of the oldest observatories in Eastern Europe. It was founded in 1821 as a Naval Observatory. In 1912 it became Nikolaev department of Pulkovo Astronomical Observatory. In 1992 it became an independent research institution in Ukraine, and it has become Research Institute since 2002. At present the Observatory is subordinated to the State Committee for Science, Innovation and Information.
The Observatory is located in the central part of Nikolaev at an altitude of 52m above sea level. The geographic coordinates are longitude 31o58' E, and latitude 46o58' N.

Projects include ELP-OA, HORIZON, NIRSpec for the James Webb Space Telescope, the Multi Unit Spectroscopic Explorer (MUSE), and the spectrum interpolater for the ELOIDE Library.
The Multimission Archive at STScI is a NASA funded project to support and provide to the astronomical community a variety of astronomical data archives, with the primary focus on scientifically related data sets in the optical, ultraviolet, and near-infrared parts of the spectrum.
The main activity at Nançay is the development and application of new radio techniques to fundamental research in astrophysics and astronomy. A number of instruments are operated on behalf of researchers in France and worldwide to conduct scientific programmes of observation of the Universe, including the nearby Earth-Space environment, the study of the Sun and the solar system, and the study of distant stars and galaxies in the Universe.
